That is correct. No update on the online car dealership.

I believe that is updated every other week. Probably to give people time to buy all the cars since there are a lot more offered then when it was first made available.

Holy crap you have *12* of them!? And you got at least $80 for them? That's crazy lol

I'm getting close to Level 35 in b-spec so I will finally have one of my own. I've just been "borrowing" one from friends that share online though. I will probably just break mine in then share mine too so it doesn't rack up mileage though.

My Bob won it pretty decisively with the Toyota 7. In fact, I don't thnk I even have the Chapparal. If I do, I've never used it.

No worries. As long as someone is using them and earning me cr. and exp. that's all that counts

Went to try the new races earlier but my internet connection bit the dust. Will try again later or tomorrow.

If anybody wants an 'easy win' in the new seasonal events then I have an Isuzu 420R concept 89 (fully tuned) which just blows the competition away. I will put it in my 'Share with friends' list later. Just in case anybody doesn't have a Japanese classic and doesn't wish to spend any cash on tuning.

bwwaaaaa

The death of my original PS3 means I've had to restore a backup onto my new Slim. But that backup was from December when I'd hardly gotten anywhere with GT5

I'm virtually back to the start unless I can find a way to get my most recent game save off of the old PS3 hard drive (which doesn't seem to be working either)

If you do have to start again, then I'm sure everybody here will help with your b-spec drivers. And I have a spare X2010 you could borrow whenever you want.

Thankyou !

My codes for two stealth cars still work, so I at least have those to call on for many of the unrestricted races.

I'm trying to put a positive spin on it, but I only had about 8 races left in a-spec

Oh well, it's not often you get a second go at a game like this so I might play things a little differently this time. But before all that I've got the 10Gb installation to do and updates to download.

Back up your game saves regularly!! I'm going to get a USB stick specifically for my saves (the ones I can copy anyway, I hate it when the dev won't let you copy them)

You should try to do the DIY fix. I had to do it when my original ps3 died and when I got a slim I did a ps3-to-ps3 data transfer.

If you can limit yourself to one vehicle per day, have a flash drive and can set up a second account, you don't have to "pay" for any new vehicles or tuning upgrades. You can even paint your cars without losing the color chip.

That's certainly worth considering if I can get it running, thanks.

Sorry about your development patridge, glad you were able to put a positive spin on it

No doubt on the backing up recommendation, I do it almost regularly with GT5. I'm glad Polyphony and Sony patched the game to where you could now backup what was once a copy-protected file. Which makes me wonder why it can't be done for earlier games like Rock Band 1-2, Killzone 2, Heavenly Sword

Definitely. Main benefit you get from a DIY repair is to do a good backup. I still miss my 60GB.

I don't know where in Japan PD or Sony is but if you have not heard about the earthquake and tsunami, turn on CNN.

EDIT: There is an earthquake news website that says that an unspecified fire from the quake has been reported in Koto-ku, Tokyo where PD HQs is located. http://earthquake-report.com/2011/03...-japan-part-2/

EDIT: They are "struggling to cool down a nuclear reactor that is 160 miles north of Tokyo", the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.

I feel your pain. As others said, you can borrow cars now so that is one good thing. Another is make sure when you get to where you can have more then 1 B spec driver to share them, you can get a ton of cash that way.

Well, news saying the Japanese automakers are reporting little damage.

Anyone see the new Jag they just announced as going to be the fastest production car they have ever made?

XKR-S 542bhp, 501ft lb torque, 4.2secs to 60mph and a 180mph just screams DLC
