Default Polyphony Digital to Continue Expansion in Fukuoka, Japan

Notably, Kazunori himself is leaving Tokyo and moving to work in Polyphony’s new facilities, located in the Central Building of Fukuoka Software Research Park. This is, apparently, only the first step in a larger transition to Fukuoka, with plans to expand and hire new, local developers and engineers. Yamauchi also confirmed “there are plans of opening an even larger studio in a few years”, and hopes to one day open a game development school in the city. Meanwhile, the future of Polyphony’s Tokyo studios remain unclear.

I'm kind of curious about what else PD does. Seems like it takes them forever to add stuff in a game that should take them at most a week or so. I know they're moving and there was the earthquakes and tsunami but what about before then? Are they just 5 people in an office working on this game or what?

I know they've made a few other games in the past but it seems to me they have no other line of business than the GT series. Seeing as how its been 7 years between products I dont know how their company stays afloat. Just wondering what other projects they have had in the past.

For that money id rather buy a saleen since there individual rear suspension. Watch the top gear episode where the saleen goes faster around the track with less hp then a gt500. If your buying it to just go straight then yea buy wtv

Saleens still have a solid rear axle, they just have improved bushings, links, springs, and shocks.

80 employees and they had $80 million to develop GT5. That's a ton of cash.

Which I think they did with the 302. And if you don't think that can handle around a track watch Grand Am, the Continental Tire series. Those 302Rs are in the front with the Camaros and BMWs. Actually a 302R won today's race. And they are suppose to be very close to the Laguna Seca 302 which is the high end street model.

Oh come on you know those cars have highly tuned suspensions on em. Only way to tell is to see one in real life. It was my mistake i didnt mean saleen i meant roush im pretty sure. They reviewed one of em on topgear and said it was faster around the topgear track then the gt500. A solid rear axle is primitive. You put 2 mustangs together identical one with a rear axle and one with independent rear and see which one handles better.

Btw i did watch some grandam and every corner exit with incar camera and a mustang in front you can see the mustang sliding out at corner exits. Idk but to me thats not very good handling.

Again, the Shelby GT500 is a straight line racer so not surprised. But the 302 Boss isn't. It is made for the track. MotorTrend got faster laps at Laguna Seca with the Boss 302 then an M3 that costs $25k more. And they even put that on the Top Gear website.

Yea but is it the track ready Boss 302 that beat the m3 or the regular boss 302? Id still rather get a roush mustang with independent suspension or wait till 2014 when ford will put one on there new mustang FINALLY. Then all you'll need is a good set of coilovers a good alignment and you wont need to pay 50-60k for a mustang that handles

A regular street production Boss, of course. Here's the video. MotorTrend doesn't test race cars and the 302R is the race version, not the 302.

Here is the article. Oh, and it was slightly faster then the Audi R8 on Laguna too.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...est/index.html

" Turn-in is crisp and precise, and it's incredibly easy to modulate rear-end wiggle with the throttle" The only issue they said they had was braking, which was seen last year in Grand Am when it was introduced, but they solved it over the winter.

Very nice car, now only if they could get a lot more hp out of a naturally aspirated V8. i mean come on putting out 400hp with a 5.0L engine is just wrong. Should be at least 480

Roush also does not have an irs rear end, it is still an upgraded solid axle. The only mustangs with irs are the 1999 to 2004 cobras including the 2000 cobra r, ford decided not to use irs in 2005 due to cost and that it accounts for slower 1/4 mile times versus a solid axle. A lot of people swapped out the irs in the cobras to get better 1/4 mile times. I like the ride and cornering feel better with the irs, but that is my opinion.

I'm now running into the morphing cars problem that slick had. There are cars that I've marked off on my list that are showing up as unpurchased in my UCD. It doesnt really matter that much because I have plenty of money now and I'm close to 1000 cars but it sucks having to buy the same cars over and over again. As if there werent enough Miata's in the game, I know I''ve had to buy the same one 3 times now.

Probably the best F1 race I've seen this season.
