Really like the latest Seasonal Event but wish it wasn't a one time event for the payout.

I find that my PS3's clock slows down or speeds up by 5 mins every so many months. Which is odd as it's online whenever I turn it on and I set the time using the internet.

And whenever the PS3 clock is off the game recognises the fact as it must read the time from it's server when it loads up. So it's an issue with my PS3 losing time/gaining time. But I don't know why it would do that.

Mine does the exact same thing, and it never did it prior to this summer, at least from what I noticed. It gets ahead by almost 5 min a month, at which point I usually go to the settings and re-sync via internet.

Anyone know how long the seasonal events last? I completed the Nascar one, and I went to do the Ferrari Formula event and noticed it started all the way back in Feb and is at the end of the list. I finished the first race, but didn't have time to get the others done. I hope it doesn't get removed, I should be able to get it done this weekend if not tonight.

I just got back from teh Italian Gatherign car show. There were a few rare gems at the event. A Ferrari F40 and a Lamborghini Miura S Were the highlights. There was supposed to be an Aventador but it ended up not showing because it has beer raining on and off all day.

I came across this article a while back while I was surfing around that piqued my interest. Doubt if its related to the issue at hand, but at least it gives a little more insight into the everyday things we utilize around us heh!:

Power grid change may disrupt clocks

EDIT: Hmmm...I was asked to update to v1.12 when I went in today. Looking over the info on the GT5 main screen, said that the update "Fixes some minor issues" and was put up 9/3/11. Wonder if this was related to what you guys were experiencing? Ah, the mystery!!

Tried the new event last night and managed to get bronze but then gave up because I hate having to use those crappy comfort tyres.

This event has also shown the game to be somewhat unrealistic. The top time was around 1'14 and there's no way a standard SLS AMG with crap tyres could possibly do that time around the Top Gear test track, not without cheating a bit anyway. I would have wanted a fellow GT5 player to beat the Stig's time, but to post a time that's faster than any (allowable) car has gone around the track in real life is disappointing. Even more so than having to use those tyres

So was the Mercedes seasonal just a one time shot or is it like a regular seasonal with a week opening?

Hmm, I'm getting behind. Still have a couple of the NASCAR races to finish but good to see they're releasing new seasonal events fairly regularly now.

Finished the NASCAR seasonal event tonight. Those were fun but for some reason, I struggled on the Rome circuit just passing the last guy on the last lap near the end (won by about 2 seconds). Typically I seem to catch them by the 4th lap but I had a hard time making it around that course without messing up. I constantly lost my patience and tried to make up ground to quickly causing the car to slam into the wall on one part of the course. Once I finally did it cleanly, I won but barely.

Think that'll be it for tonight since I want to get back to R3 for now although I may try the Mercedes time trial just to see how it's going to be.

It's amazing how you can spin out a AI car and how quickly they can get back on the track and back up to speed.. more so if they hit the sand.

Not sure why most racing games are like this.

That type of crap makes me take those long 2 month breaks from GT.
