[Show spoiler]WOW. Much better than I anticipated, but that ending was great, except for one thing I didn't like but it felt needed for it to be the way it ended. I disliked the Junior Monk, and sure enough, he betrayed his own species to aid in the escape of Sunako, who conflicting to my aforementioned dislike, I liked her character.

I'm holding onto pre-order, hoping it drops to the RightStuf pricing, because if it does, I'll keep it until it comes and want to revisit later. Highly, HIGHLY recommend you guys bare some patience, as the first 5 or so episodes drag on, but from there on, the pacing is great with many, many epic moments.

[Show spoiler]My absolute favorite was Dr. Ozaki videotaping him experimenting how to kill Shiki on his own wife who recently rose. Chilling, bloody, tense... that whole scene was pitch-perfect and was one of the most badass scenes of a dark hero I've seen in any form of entertainment.

Also, new Dragon Age movie from Funimation dropped to $15.99! Locked in pre-order.

Infinite Stratos also dropped to a pre-order price of $39.99. Lowest I've seen it yet. Placed order.

Amazon won't pricematch w/ TRSI given the fact TRSI isn't a major retailer for DVDs/BDs in general. Amazon has only been known to match places like Wal-Mart, Family Video and other mainstream locales. That said, I reported Family Video's prices on Shiki p1 and p2 to Amazon, so lets see if that'll get the attention. Remember to add $1.99 for S/H for both entries to cover that base. It's on par with TRSI's prices but they seem to listen with Family Video moreso. I think we'll get better results this way.

Also, thanks for pointing out earlier Bakuman is 13 episodes; I remember reading people comparing "Japan pays 3x the amount we do for 3x less content," and that's where I got confused. 13 episodes for $42 is reasonable, although I'd like to hold out just a LITTLE lower personally.

Any opinions on Infinite Stratos? Just finished Shiki, and I can't remember if any opinions here persuaded me to stay, but at my job some customer who was really cool told me to be patient and it picks up a lot, and boy did it ever.

Done. Still, that one is only $3 off, so it isn't as bad as Shiki, which is almost $13 a piece off! That's $26 for the series difference.

Wow! I hope Metrocon in June has deals like this! I've never seen Clannad that low, and despite knowing close to nothing on it besides the cover and some screencaps here, from what I hear I'd do a blind buy at that price.

Clannad is one of the few shows I would recommend at any price. That is a virtual steal under $30. I am still waiting for Clannad: After Story to come out on BD.

A bit of a random question here, but what would you guys say that Akira BD with the slipcase and book should be worth?

Also, what about a Baccano!


They are both opened but in excellent condition. In fact, I haven't even watch Baccano yet, so the discs have never left the safety of their cases.

I think a good abajillion or three dollars is a good ballpark estimate.

[Show spoiler]Amazon Marketplace has only 1 current listing brand new for $188, so selling there, since it's in "Like New", I'd list for just some less than that; about $160 if you're willing to take just a LITTLE loss and MAYBE sell faster. eBay only has 1 currently up brand new for... over $600. List on Amazon to sell quick, eBay to make more money.

As far as Akira is concerned, if you list on Amazon, list it as a "Collectible", as most of the times rare items, or long OOP first press slips get listed as such and give you much more worth. Considering Akira recently went OOP, as a regular, non-slip version sells for $70+ (I sold a brand new copy for $60 after all fees and such just last week), I'd say you can make maybe $140+ for like new condition since there are no current ones on Amazon as of today, 3/11.

This is just my opinion, but I have a good history selling Anime on Amazon, and my prices sell in no more than a week's time, maybe two, tops.

Will it? I'd hate for it to be like Heaven's Lost Property. I hope Season 2 of that comes soon, because I'd like to check out and maybe purchase the set.

Any news on Darker than Black Season 1? I recently got the LE Season 2 combo set and want to maybe hold out until Season 1 is Blu-ray.

I'm glad I didn't buy the slip and booklet alone from someone here like I was about to. Just months after that, another copy got traded at my job with full, mint packaging and I bought it and sold the disc and case itself for a little profit, and acquired the slip and booklet for my personal collection.

There is one under collectible for $120 and another one for $119.99 under used. I got mine for like $15-20 from Borders with a 50% coupon a long time ago.

EDIT: Someone has a still sealed one for $100.00 BIN on the bay! That's not too bad...considering...lol!
