I also expect this to be a reference disc for audio. I was blown away in the theater. The gunfire effects ripped my face off and shattered my eardrums. It was bliss.

Has there been any information what the directors cut will have? We know scenes were removed, but will they be added as special faetues or part of the film. Aslo, where did you get this info?

That would be one of the greatest special features of all time. To have video with it would be even better. I'd still love to see Bryce Dallas Howards' face when he started going off!

Oh yeah, the audio is gonna be reference for sure! There was some DEEP bass in this movie, I'm talking DEEP bass!

but i hope its both, where you can watch it as special features or have it inserted into the movie (i believe X-Men did this)

I am looking into my crystal ball...guess what I see? All summer movies will come out on home video between Halloween and Christmas!

Not really, they usually are about 3 months nowadays. Sometimes though the bigger movies that are released in summer aren't release to home media until closer to Christmas time for holiday sales and that looks to be the case here. Can't wait to get it, I really liked it.

i thought it was atleast 5 typically

i thought 4months from opening was very soon for Fast and Furious to be coming out

i would assume if the Wolverine reports are right (9/22) then the rest of the summer movies will follow the same pattern as last year as far as theater release vs. dvd/blu release:

last year:
iron man theater in may and blu in sept.
hulk theater in june and blu in oct.
dark knight theater in july and blu in dec.

this year:
wolverine theater in may and blu in sept.

so hopefully:
terminator in Oct/Nov.
transformers in Oct./Nov.
harry potter in Dec.

Ok cool. I like how they did it on Taken. You can watch either the Directors Cut or the theatrical on the same disc. I think that is a normal time frame for movie release.
