and the Sony

7-25k isn't cheap but it is home affordable, as those prices are no different then mid-range high end audio equipment.

I do agree about content you could have 10k resolution (if there is even such a thing lol) and if you don't have content for it, your simply up-converting a fixed resolution.

They're affordable for the upper-middle (those for which home theatre is a priority), yeah. But with no content, it seems unwise to splurge on first-generation technology, even if you can afford it. By the time there actually is some 4K content (that's actually worth watching), there'll be far better projectors available for a bit less money, probably also featuring superior upscaling for 1080p/2k material. And I doubt any of those 3 current models really compare to the Christie 4200 series used in the theatres near me that offer 4K projection (for a small handful of new releases).

No, I think It'll still be a very long time before I stop going to movie theatres. And when 4K has become easier to do at home, there'll still be something better for the theatres to offer that nobody could afford to install in a house.

At the same time, it has no affect on how much I love the film.
Loved that trailer, brought up some good points (For me Cap America almost felt like a guest appearance) but the sum of the parts really makes it happen. Quite a few memorable bits and that always helps. "Puny God" anyone?

My only gripe is the beatings they took don't coincide with how the characters are portrayed in what I've come to know.. Captain America shouldn't have been all tired and crap, and those dudes surrounding hulk on the roof shouldn't have bugged him that much!

But these are minor things, I love the movie and really just want a second Thinking about watching it for a 4th time tonight and hopefully I'll be burned out till it starts showing up on hbo/stars exc. and watch it on that a few more times

I agree, and they did kind of take liberties, but the result is definitively on of the best comic book adaptations for the screen. Before going in I was very curious how they would give each caracter the screen time. They obviously embrassed Tony Stark, RDJ is so awesome at the roll, (def the highest bankable) and I think they did it Hulk very well with a perfect Mark Ruffalo.

I may catch some flac for this, but the Avengers now sits at the top of my favorite Comic book movie list. I take it for what it is and always enjoy the ride to it's fullest.

Edit: Was ther ever a poll on favorite comic book movie?

Wasn't that meditation scene before the credits?

I just read that and laughed thinking of the scene where Hulk is worried about minions on a roof

I too still love the film

Yea it was basically the ending of the film. I was thinking he meant like the climax and the end fight scene and he only turned once after he fell from the plane. Got Em!!

Come on in a movie where Stark used a something the size of a pill to hack the Shield database. You would not think comms would be in more than one place. They could be in the gloves, in the collar, a false tooth. There are many places they could have put it.

Even outside the world created in movies and comics such things exist.
