ahh before I forget, I have not been able to find any remote dimmers that i like that work with dimmable leds such as are in my pot lights.. so I have designed my own system that is DMX512 controlled by a custom computer program and features IR commands and dry contact trigger commands as well. it is completely programmable for fade times and independent row control. the system is also compatible with any dmx device. I am very excited about it to say the least

Happy to hear you're back in business. Be careful with the dimmer. I've had them cause noise in my gear.

I have it on a separate panel from my gear and have all the gear on conditioners (next up might be a balancing transformer), though the LEDs don't seem to be noisy like a cfl when dimmed and the dimmer system I am using is zero cross with no chopped waveforms so it should be relatively quite. though only true testing will tell. I am quite pleased with the system testing so far, I have dimmed the LEDs to 1% without any kind of flicker and they are very well priced..

This is the flexy rack for my bedroom setup and turntable. I still need to do some sanding and touchups, then i will be disassembling it and painting the shelves a high gloss black. the metal will stay bare.

it's looking like more rain today so painting might be on hold again.. was expecting delivery of an iphone today however it is looking more like tomorrow, It is going to make a killer remote maybe I will call and check my claim through apc as well..

Here is the finished flexy rack in the bedroom, it took two coats of black lacquer then steel wool,then another two coats then steel wool, then buffing with furniture wax. it is shiny

decided to add a photo of the rear surrounds of the 7.2 setup. I used dvd player wall mounts, the speaker reflections off the ceiling actually help to defuse the surround for less point source definition. the behemoth 40s sound fantastic on surround heavy movies... Hp7 will blow you away..
