seems like a quality release. good transfer and all the criterion special features from the dvd + some new stuff. well worth $20.99.

If that's really all you got out of this movie, you should try to actually engage with the work rather than watch it from the most superficial vantage point possible.

When there's something that movie pointed out it's definitely that racism depending on the situation is bound to come up in ALL of us and can be triggered by hate and anger. I don`t find the movie leaning one way or the other, like a lot of people seem to think. And the point is that Mookie throws the trashcan into the Pizzeria because it means only damage to the Pizzeria. Because if you look at him he get's up and the expression on his face is, like this has to be done. Because violence will erupt and has to have some kind of outlet. One of the best Movies from the 80s.

That's a very astute observation Harry. Spike is basically saying attack the way racism is institutionalized and don't attack people. Of course, it's probably not a good idea to give away the ending!
