Braveheart vs. Gladiator 9/1/09 and Sapphire SE - Blu-ray Forum

With Paramount announcing 2 of their biggest titles to come out on blu on the same day, I thought I'd ask whose getting which or both?

I know there are a lot of threads out there about this already, so I'll throw in another question: What is this Sapphire Special Edition. Is it just another name to add to the packaging to milk us for more money, i.e. a gimmick? or is it legitimate superior quality?

Sapphire is just a name they have chosen, just like Disney does with Platinum, etc

I will get both, but not day 1 release, since they are pretty price. I would get them if they are around $15 price range each.

Sorry, I guess I just thought that people who weren't interested in purchasing either (not neither) of the movies would not want to participate in the poll.

Gladiator is a great movie but it honestly is a poor man's Braveheart.

Prefer Braveheart but they are both 10/10 movies.

for people that have the means to play blu-rays....these titles will be huge sellers. 2 epic releases at 1 time will be huge. Great for the format and for us high def junkies.

Both of these movies are in my top 5, it's amazing that they're being released together and so close to my bday! The only thing more I could ask for would be Braveheart in a Steelbook...

I am happy they are releasing both, these are the movies needed to make BD serious in the market and I know they will very likely look and sound great.
