I was a way bigger fan of Batman growing up, and I did not really care for Transformers although I've seen the movie this past weekend.

I still think TDK will still out sell TF2.

Who cares!? If people want to buy the movie, it's their own choice. Either way, it's good for blu when people buy the format's movies. Enough with the polls already!

Well actualy I never bought the first Transformers movie on BD and I will not buy the second one either.

I just don't like the story of Transformers.. I think that's why I can't get into it. The special effects are outstanding though

When I said people acting like they won't be buying Transformers 2 on blu-ray... I should have made it more clear... people who are Transformers fans, and have the 1st one, they sure will be getting this one.... any more clearer? People who are hatin' on this movie... 80% of those people will sure get it.

I haven't seen TF2 yet..... and didn't buy TDK yet....... but I think it's safe to say that TDK has already sold more Blu-rays than TF2 will in the first 2 years of it's release

That I do agree with you. I have never seen a movie get destroyed so much in a forum and actualy making the amount of money Transformers 2 is doing right now.

Clearly there would be two reasons to own this movie. Megan Fox on my TV and all that noise being pumped through my speakers.

This movie should have reference quality audio and the added bonus of Megan Fox, I could care less if this movie lowed my IQ by 100 points.

I believe hype has driven this movie a lot plus a lack of "good" movies so far. Last year we had: Iron Man, Indy 4, Wanted, Kung Fu Panda, Hulk, Sex and the City, Wall E, Narina, Hell Boy 2, Dark Knight.

So far: T4, Wolverine, TF2, Star Trek.

About three of those movies have been disappointing and people are searching for the next big hit. TF2 just happens to have Megan Fox and a lot of noise.

People know it.
It will sell billions of BDs in the next 10 years.

TDK clearly

I mean Transfromers 2 was a decent movie (bad story though) but unlike TDK, it just doesn't appeal to everybody. I'm sure it will be a fantastic demo disc and will be one of the top sellers but I doubt it will sell more than TDK.

I have no way of knowing which one will sell more, but I have TDK and I will likely buy Transformers 2 (even though I won't see it in theaters).

It might somewhat help if TDK comes in a digibook or a Collectors Edition in the next 5 years or so.
