How long ago did you buy them that it cost that much? I doubt they'll release the show on BD, at least not for a while.

The show ended in 2003, I would imagine I had the whole thing by 2005, wish I had waited, even if it's still one of my favourite shows of all-time.

Oh ok makes sense. At $107 that's $15 a season which isn't bad at all. Although The Shield has the same amount of seasons and has sold for $83.

P.S. I LOVE THE SHOW TOO!!! Just wait until you get to Season 6! I laughed. I cried. I fell in love. I have never found myself so emotionally invested in entertainment as I was with Season 6 of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.
You know what I hate it when people like you say crap like that, have YOU ever tried to use the search function it SUCKS and btw I did a search for Buffy and guess which thread came up this one and it took several pages of unrelated crap.

well I wasn't here two years ago so what does that have to do with anything? You still said it and the fact remains the search is still broken.

It isn't hard to get a good search result as long as you use the 'Advanced search' function and simply narrow it down to search titles only.

Ummmm, I wasn't the one who made that comment. What does you not being here two years ago have to do with anything? New or old member, why would you respond to a comment that was made two years ago?

I easily found this thread. Went in Wish Lists, clicked Search this Forum and typed Buffy

The last I heard they were re-releasing the DVD's (and Angel) with that new packaging. They mentioned they weren't going to release a Blu-ray until sales of the DVD picked up which seems pointless! But I guess re launching the DVD's might pick up more interest from others who don't currently own it (or have never seen it). The new packaging is very "twilight-esque" and I think that is the market they were aiming at to generate more sales.

20th Century FOX should go ahead and at least re-issue "Angel: Season 5" on Blu-ray like they did with another Joss Whedon TV show, "Firefly: The Complete Series" since they already have HD masters of that season.

Yeah they could but they're not gonna release just season 5 on it's own. they won't release it until the others are ready. I wonder if they will release each season separately or all together, or both (for Buffy and Angel) Can't wait to see how it will all look in glorious HD!

If only they copied Paramount, who put the work and money into HD masters of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Warner, who are releasing Friends: The Complete Series before/instead of season sets.

But if they started with season sets, I'd probably get them.

Sadly, I don't think Fox values Buffy/Angel as a property the way Paramount values Trek. I just can't see them spending the money to re-edit them Star Trek: TNG style, which they would have to do. Believe me, I want nothing more than Buffy on Blu, I'd especially love to see those first two seasons given a digital once over. But who knows, stranger things have happened.
