Anyone else played this yet? If so, let me ask you... have you seen graphics better than this anywhere? Pretty freakin' amazing!

And GT5's only going to look better. The super quick loadtimes are also stunning, Polyphony are magicians.

My wife is not the world's biggest supporter of HD content, though she is starting to come around... yet when she saw my son and I playing the demo she was amazed and commented that everything looked like real-life except maybe the spectators. The cars themselves and the scenery are stunning.

The graphics are pretty insane. I tried it thinking I was only going to run it once and check it out, but now I find myself playing just so I can look at the amazing looking cars.
52" Samsung LN-T5265 and a PS4.

I love the graphics, but I hope they work on the crowd. Even when you slam into a fence near them they still stand there motionless. Other than that, great looking and smooth controls.

Yeah! I said that. You should be able to smash through the fence too. How cool would that be?

Demo? It is GT HD the full game and its free. 16 cars to unlock (8 normal and 8 of the same tuned). Two game modes Time Trial and Drift Trial. You must complete the first 8 cars in time trial to unlock Drift mode.

LOL, yeah I called it a demo in the thread titel so that's where haus got it. I didn't realize it was the full game. But still, it really is just a nibbler to get you pumped about GT5.

Yes, your car comes to a total crash stop when you hit a ribbon and the crowd doesn't budge. They can fix that in the next version, but with these graphics and controls in a free game I can live with it.

I think the crowd could use an upgrade but I would never want it to take away from the physics or the car and scenery graphics.

DiRT has a damage engine that allows you to smash through fences, dig up weeds and grass, destroy your car, and interact with practically anything you can see.

DiRT also runs at half the framerate, with slowdown and tearing.

i did indeed read about that in the 360 review, but isn't it possible that it will run smooth on the PS3? why is their a problem with games having poor framerates and bogging down? does the developer not see these things in the studio? College Hoops 2K7 slows down at times and i remember Sonic was terrible. the game bogged down so bad it almost stopped. this should not even be an issue these days. the PS3 is the most powerful machine ever, but games still run choppy on it?! that makes no sense to me.

The reason games are choppy on a ps3 is all down to deelopment. The ps3 is able to play games without choppyness but its all about getting the Cell to work properly at the times it needs to. We all know developing for the Cell is hard, and its amazing that they could get the game to do stuff that is choppy anyhoo lol. But soon, when developers get to know the cell better and are best m8s with it, choppyness will be history of the PS3.

When is the game coming out?

All I want is it and GTA. I will be in bliss for at least 6 months.

Gran Turismo 5's due next year (when it's done) but it's strongly rumoured that Gran Turismo 5 "Prologue" will be released on the PlayStation Network this Autumn/Fall.
