Here's the character video for Stannis.

You know I have to say, I think audiences this year are really going to take to Davos. With the lack of
[Show spoiler]Ned
this year, I think they'll be looking to cling to an honorable character in the middle of a den of backstabbers and devious individuals. It also helps that he's being played by the very charismatic Liam Cunningham. Can't wait to see him, along with all the new actors this year.

Stannis has no charisma.

Cannot wait for season 2!

Tyrion

Not really much of a spoiler, but to answer your question a bit indirectly.

[Show spoiler]He was sent back by Tywin Lannister to get Joffrey in line and keep him from making stupid decisions, such as having people beheaded and starting wars, etc. His father named him the "Hand of the King" - Ned's old job, which is to advise the King and make decisions in his absence. But as you've seen, Joffrey is a sick, cruel kid who believes, as King, he can do anything he wants to whomever he wants. And seems to enjoy cruelty as a way to show off his strength and position of power. So, Tyrion has to get him under control somehow. That's his aim for now.

Obviously, it's a big story with lots of twists and turns - so you never know how things will turn out.

True, but that's not who I'm talking about.

Liam's playing Davos, not Stannis.

Yeah. I remember him getting that Job. Just can't shake the Idea of him going a step further and trying to take the throne.

Yeah, I figured I'd just remind you of the difficult task before him - and to say, that as of right now, that is his aim, nothing more, nothing less.

Wouldn't want to hint at where things go. If anyone is going to spoil anything, even with hints - it won't be me.

One thing I can say - is that people will guess what happens to whom, and most will probably be wrong. A lot of blind sides - but that's the fun of the story. Never knowing where it's going. Awesome storytelling!

Hey guys….i’m in the middle of the 1st season on blu right now.

A coworker caught a marathon or something this past weekend of the entire 1st season on HBO and is hooked; she’s going to check out the 2nd season coming up now.

My question is for anyone that has used HBO’s online streaming service….i can’t remember what it’s called.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you have HBO, you can set up an account or something on their website and you can stream their shows right??

We don’t have cable or satellite but I really want to watch the 2nd season….me & another coworker are trying to talk her into letting us set up an account online so we can watch it.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me??

Also, i started reading the 2nd book last night.

I have the HBOGo App - I can watch any show they have on demand from my phone - assume it would work like that for the laptop version, etc. You just log in - find the show and watch - like Netflix or any other streaming program.

I watched all of season 1 and 2 of Boardwalk Empire on my phone (I was in the hospital) - and they have all their other series available for viewing as well. Watched all 3 season of Deadwood too.

Most times, when a new episode of Boardwalk Empire aired - it was available for streaming the next day.

Works great.

So I’m right in assuming it’s just a log in and password??

Is there anything she’d have to enter so HBO knows they subscribe??

I'm pretty confident you need to have subscribed to HBO through an actual cable provider in order to access HBO Go. HBO doesn't offer any sort of stand alone subscription plan without going through a cable provider.

When I signed up for HBO Go last year, I had to log in through my cable provider's website (Cox Cable) for verification.

OK, I understand your question a little better now. Your co-worker already subscribes. Yes, she'd need to go through the sign-up process through the HBO Go website which will direct her to her current cable subscribers site for verification. She'll get a log-in and password for HBO Go and then you should be golden.

I have not read the books/spoilers/etc., I've only seen the featurettes on demand so by no means should me saying this be a spoiler...just wishful thinking. (And please don't spoil anything in response.)

I hope the little prick gets beheaded and then fed to the damn dragons. Same goes for the Kingslayer. Send his mother to the *****houses and let the dwarf serve out his days as a servant on the wall. So naturally, I think they casted the Lanisters perfectly.

If any of you are into wrestling, every time I saw Ned near the iron throne I had HHH's music in my head and flashbacks to the Chicago WM where they had him come out on a throne. I'm guessing I'm not alone.

Yeah, when reading the books, they made me hate them. The actors have done a good job playing people you love to hate, especially the Joffery kid. The only one who doesn't come off as ruthless as theory book character is Cersie. She is played much to softly.

Yeah, definitely be careful about going to other sites, I see a lot of people posting spoilers for fun. One of the great things about the books was seeing the story unfold in ways you hadn't considered. So, it'd be terrible to have those spoiled. So definitely consider before clicking any spoiler tags.

I love the way they r handling Cersei, cold and manipulative but always full of false smiles and un-meant compliments. I would expect her to be written in a less deceptive manner in the second season now that the reigns of power r in her grasp.
