Default Speakers stopped working on Sony Vaio VGC-JS160J

Like I said in my title they just stopped working. I tried youtube,IGN.com or any site for movie trailers..and I either hear NOTHING or my speakers make a loud fuzzy popping noise until I stop the audio/video. I never messed with any settings on the speakers...they just randomly stopped working. Since its an all in one PC I cant really unplug them or anything like that. I tried talking to Sony Support but the guy is a complete air head... he just kept telling me to use a different program to listen to my music.

Ive only had this PC since Feb/March.

Any suggestions?

Maybe something happened to the device driver or soundcard?
