Fight Club and Rocky Horror? - Blu-ray Forum

Is there any news about these two titles from Fox? I have only heard rumours about Fight Club, but nothing on Rocky Horror.

I second that. But with announcements in Japan and France from Fox/mgm, U.S. release dates are coming soon.

Just a word of warning:

Rocky Horror will not look that great. It may SOUND great, but it's a 30 year old movie shot on a low budget on cheap film stock.

I'm sure Fight Club is on the short list

I hope it looks a bit better than the DVD though and I will pick it up.

Fight Club if they take care should look fab.

But if it was released, it would have to be the best version out there, an improvement on the DVD version must be possible. There are older films, which must be scheduled for release on BD than Rocky Horror. With todays technology, it must be cleaned up easier.

Right now the Rocky Horror Blu ray is in the process of being put on Blu ray. If you use the search function you'll see the latest news was from October and is as follows:

"We see you shiver with antici...pation! Enthusiast site Cosmo's Factory has revealed that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is set to release a 35th anniversary edition Blu-ray of the cult movie 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', including what looks like a movie reenactment on disc, complete with a casting call in New York and filming in Los Angeles."

As far as video quality, I don't think the DVD is THAT bad,but I can't wait for my Blu ray!

Rocky Horror would definitely be a must-have for me on blu, and if it is coming in November, maybe I can get it for my birthday. I'm sure my mom, the person who introduced me to Rocky Horror, would be more than happy to oblige. I just hope they keep all all the stuff from the 25th anniversary DVD because it was pretty well done, as well as include plenty more to celebrate the 35th anniversary.

Susan still looks amazing though!

I wonder if the Blu ray will have the UK or US ending? Personally I prefer UK.

Watched RHPS the other day for the 1st time in years, forgot thet Meat Loaf got his start with that film, as did Spin City's Barry Bostwick. I would love to get RHPS on blu!

, as for Shock Treatment,... forget about it

My DVD also includes a cut that is black and white for the first half.

I first saw this at a local theater here in Minneapolis in 1979 called The Uptown where they had live actors in the audience acting out the movie as well as the complete audience participation, squirt bottles, toast, toilet paper, you name it. They showed it at midnight. It took a second encounter to really get it and I haven't looked back.

Now I have a combination of Time Warp and Sweet Transvestite stuck in my head!

And very shortly you discover that there is no reason.
