Amazon Prime Free Trial

Im thinking about ordering some movies from amazon how does this free trial work?can I get the membership and get the two day shipping and then just cancel my amazon trial membership and never be charged?

yup, thats how it works, you get it free for like 2 months and then you have to cancel it. You might get addicted and end up keeping it, thats what happened to me

That's it. If you are married or have a girlfriend, she can get a free trial once yours expires.

I want to order uncharted kill zone 2 and my headset and some movies usually the movies I would not care.I just want to make sure the games are here by friday as well .

The trial was awesome.

However, be careful. I think it automatically upgrades you to full membership at the end of the trial unless you click on the option to not upgrade.

There is no cancellation. Just goto your Prime Membership settings and set it to not renew/automatically charge you.

yeah it will, I loved it so much I bought it, I now spend like 100-200 a week on crap from amazon lol

i signed up for it yesterday, bought some toys for the kids and may keep it and order gladiator and braveheart right away before i cancel it.

i ordered the toys yesterday and should have them by wed.

I'll get it for real next year, just don't want it yet since I don't really have $80 to spend on it right now. Still a little disappointed in Fed Ex since it took them a good deal longer than 2 days to get me my first Prime order.

I live so close to the shipping centers within 3 hours, one in VA,PA, and DE. I get stuff next day, lol even the stuff from Kentucky I ordered on thursday was at the Local distribution center on friday night, but it didn't make it out since stupid ups doesn't ship on sat.

I never get the 1 day shipping and only use the 2 day. UPS is usually doesn't disappoint.

Yeah if you order loads from Amazon then it is definitely worth it.

But for what I was buying it really wasn't worth paying for the upgrade - and it was a good job someone told me to cancel it 2 days before it was about to automatically upgrade and charge me for it.

I agree I first did it that way where I bought a couple things then cancelled it, But then I stepped up my spending or what I was planning to spend, and just everything pointed to that, I've probably saved on shipping/ lower prices and no taxes on movies alone maybe 300-700.

is prime good for used blu rays as well? i've noticed where it's 2.98 shipping for a used bd, and even if you buy 5 bd's from the same seller, it's 2.98 shipping PER movie, which i think is lame.

No, those are Amazon 3rd party sellers. They charge for shipping because they usually ship from their home. Just as long as it says "Sold and shipped by Amazon" you'll receive the 2-day shipping (or 1-day like I do sometimes get )

If you hold out and make several Amazon orders, while not accepting the free Prime trial offers, Amazon will eventually offer you a 3-month free trial. It might make sense to hold out until closer to Christmas season for a Prime trial.
