Looks like the type of tin used for DVD sets like King Kong.

Watched: Finished Lost Season 4. Better than the third season, even though it was only 13 or 14 episodes. I had completely forgot about all the events that happened

, so it was a nice surprise lol.

Whew, four seasons of Lost in row! Now I need to definitely catch up on some movie watching.

You're not wrong about that tin - that's horrific. Absolutely huge and a really weird design.

Also waiting for Dogtooth and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead which will be arriving with my Deathly Hallows steelbook preorder.

Ordered: Machete Steelbook from HMV.

Watched: Spy Game. One of my favourite movies. Love the way the back story unfolds on Redford's CIA career.

I'm in a bit of a spy thriller mood right now so i'll have a Bond and Bourne marathon this weekend

Bought: Day Of The Dead (orig), Happy Feet, Borat, Jennifers Body, The Rock, Bad Boy Bubby and 2010 Fifa World Cup 3D.

Watched: Fifa 3D. I quite enjoyed this one. The 3D wasnt too bad either. Over The Top again. The boy wanted to watch it again, love the fact he starts yelling at the tv during the final arm wrestling comp. I used to do that in the final 10 second countdown in Rocky when I was a kid. LMAO

Non Bluray: watched a movie called Rubber (2010), about a killer tyre. Different to say the least. Was good though and its got some really good gore fx. Horror lovers should check it out atleast. This ones gonna be a buy for me.

Ordered: Cyborg (Van Damme) Directors Cut workprint. I really like Cyborg, so Im very interested to see this. Bring it to BD already - CYBORG: Director's Cut is an All Region DVD from a tape from a work print of the director’s cut telecined in 1988. The cost is for Albert Pyun’s autograph, a DVD case set with the new low budget feature BULLETFACE. A low-budget crime noir thriller with horror elements, it is Pyun’s most recent release. CYBORG-DC is a free extra. This is not a studio release and is only suitable for Cyborg fans who want Albert Pyun's director’s cut. This version of the movie is darker than the original release which was cut to make a "R" rating. It has Tony Riparetti's aggressive soundtrack on the movie.

Got the new TV installed and all I can say is wow! In comparison to the Samsung it was an absolute breeze to set up. I spent a little bit getting everything perfect and I am truly impressed with it so I would highly recommend it to anyone. It certainly has none of the issues I experienced with the Samsung panel. By the time I was done I had a small amount of time to demo a couple of scenes and they looked great. I checked out some of the IMAX portions of The Dark Knight as well as select scenes from Avatar and Star Trek. It handled everything thrown at it very capably.

My bi-fold doors will be installed next Wednesday and that will eliminate any remaining ambient light from the room so I'll do another calibration then but I suspect it will only be minor tweaking on that one as I've dialled in a picture I'm very happy with. Then everything I'll be doing to the room will be complete and I can sit back and enjoy some watching.

After all was said and done today I had 95 mins so threw on Robin Hood: Men in Tights for a laugh. I haven't seen this for so long as the DVD was atrocious. Even though the Blu-ray isn't absolutely mind-blowing it's still a complete revelation and truthfully most deficiencies would come back to the source material and the fact that it's a comedy so the production values in terms of cinematography wouldn't be quite so impressive. Still, it looked very solid and the audio was particularly good. The DVD always sounded so flat but the lossless mix really helped it out.
