Watched The Dark Knight last night and The Dark Knight Rises at the cinemas this morning. I must say that I much prefer Batman Begins and The Dark Knight over The Dark Knight Rises.
[Show spoiler]I felt the whole feel of the franchise was changed, similar to the transition between Batman/Batman Returns and Batman Forever/Batman & Robin. At times I thought it was more like a watching a Transformers film rather than a Batman film. It's story even had similar characteristic to Transformers 3. Not only that but out of 2 and a half hours Bale was only Batman for like half an hour, maybe even less than

No probs with the picture or audio at my Event Cinema - went to the Vmax session. First time in Vmax and it would be the only way I'll go now on. Better seats for sure.

Watched: Episode 11 of Rome Season 2 and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

Star Trek 6 is my second favourite TOS film behind Wrath of Khan. Both Meyer films - the guy knows how to bring a film together. Shame the presentation on the disc is the worst of all the TOS films. It's a DNR fest on the level of Predator UHE. The actors actually look like wax work figures (not kidding) with Leonard Nimoy faring the worst. Having such a unique face with some deep set wrinkles it just looks like someone's carved some clay. The film deserves a better presentation than that. Audio was fine though - I've always liked the score for TUC too, it really locks into the editing well and enhances the film.

All up to speed for when Star Trek: TNG Season 1 arrives in about a fortnight or so.

I spend about $500 - $1000 per month on Amazon US, UK, DE (Have only dealt with FR and IT once or twice and haven't touched any others). I never miss anything The only place to be careful is US as lots are Region A locked. If you have a region free player than ignore that. I love my BDP-93 - I'm pretty careful where and when I buy

Lots of clapping, haha it almost got annoying, every time Batman did something heroic, people clapped, but that's what I get for going to a midnight screening.

Watched: Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut (8/10) - what a good film, can't remember the theatrical cut that well, but this version was awesome.

Watched TDKR - so many kinds of awesome, and i think it'll only get better on repeat viewings! Tom Hardy did an amazing job as Bane, equaling Heath Ledgers Joker for sheer menace in a villain, and maybe even pipping it...?

Want to see that! Don't know why there's such a long delay for that to screen here from the US.

Well I can't say that I'm glad that I'm the only one who had a less than memorable experience watching DKR. Todays cinemas should be able to cope with these aggressive HD tracks, as well as the having the bloody picture in the correct aspect ratio, for you, My Lord I would've demand a refund, I have before.

For DKR I went to a United cinema, but this was the first time that I had experienced this audio problem. I watched The Avengers, as well as Prometheus at the same complex and it was gold. This time the audio, was definitely bronze. Next time I think I'll go back to an Event cinema as I have had no trouble with them.

And as far as midnight screenings are concerned, I have always avoided them for the reason of the rabid fans that attend. No offense Hucksta, I wasn't meaning you

With the Star Wars prequels, I went on the first day to stay away from those night owls I love Star Wars, but I prefer to watch my movies in peace

Haha none taken, I'd like to see it again without all the bloody clapping and laughter throughout the movie, it was like a sitcom audience. Bring on second viewing.

Cool

I'm actually thinking of going to see it again, even though I said that I wouldn't.

I had the same thing happen to be a while ago, Amazon kept splitting my orders.. i'd receive half of it, then the second half would take twice as long.
