I've had it happen a few times. It's kind of strange isn't it?

Bought Full Metal Jacket, The Warriors with Lenticular slip, Tropic Thunder and The Heartbreak Kid. I ordered the Heartbreak Kid from Amazon UK the other day, but since the order hasn't shipped yet hopefully I can cancel the order and then reorder the other titles I ordered in the same order.

I also noticed that Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger and The Hunt for Red October are no longer JB exclusives. Big W have all 3 for $12.87 each.
Setup

Not a good sign mate.

Means the order has been cancelled.

(having said that was it made outside of the last 30 days?)
My Setup:- TV - Sony Bravia KDL-40V4000, Blu-ray Player - Sony BDP-S570, Amplifier - Yamaha HTR-6130, Speakers - Sherwood GSP-5110 5.1 Ch Speaker System.

So many quotes I could put here, but what to choose, can't put them all, so I put this instead.

Wanted: Slips for Lady & The Tramp, Pinocchio & Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

That was my first thought. The "my orders" page always defaults to orders placed in the last 30 days so that's probably it. Good place for beechy to start.

Received: V: The Complete Series from Amazon UK yesterday (9 days) and Polar Express 3D from JB today (2 days).

Watched: The last episode of Rome. Like Deadwood another HBO show that 'ended' but could've done with a telefilm or the like to really bring it to conclusion. Good timing finishing up Rome so I can now check out V.

Tonight I'm watching Anchorman - could do with a laugh after hearing about that nutjob shooting up a Dark Knight Rises screening in the US.

Watched: The Dark Knight Rises. Won't go into it too much, but I caught this in IMAX and it was amazing. Great experience.

Bought: A Separation, The Rocketeer and Coach Carter.

Watched Jeff, Who Lives at Home, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and just back from TDKR.

Jeff, Who Lives at Home was short and sweet, albeit somethings seemed short and cliche. More a drama than a comedy, a bit like Cedar Rapids I thought.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel had a great cast and some funny dialogue and that dry British humour sure to get a few chuckles if you notice the subtly of the actors' reactions. Might pick this up when it comes out.

TDKR, not as convinced about this one. I wanted to like it more, but I am liking the first 2 a lot more at the moment, though it does tie in with the 2 previous films quite well and does well as a conclusion.

Watched: Anchorman

Funny in a stupid way but ironically the stupid is done smartly (e.g. well thought out) so unlike other Will Ferrell films which I often find just plain stupid this one is gold.

Picture quality was very strong. Some shots were obviously stock footage and even the cinematography aims for a bit of a dated look. Audio was solid - soundtrack sounded nice though of course it's all a pretty front heavy mix.

Won't be watching anything tonight. Heading off to see one of my favourite bands The Tea Party. Can't wait, 7 years since I last saw them, 16 since I first saw them and they just announced they're filming the show for their first video release and their drummer confirmed to me it'll be released on Blu-ray. Awesome! Now that'll be a day 1 buy for me!

Glad I kept my Star Trek: TNG Season 1 pre-order for the US too. It's now dropped to $59.99...

Watched TDKR - no better or worse than expected. IMO about the same level as TDK, thought the bad guy was well done for what he was. Still prefer Tim Burton batmans.

Ive been so busy since my last post I havnt had the time to watch anything in full. Made time though to see TDKR. Excellent as expected.

Missus bought me from JB -

The Omen Collection

Recieved from Amazon.de and flicked through them to check out the PQ -

Enter the Ninja - Average PQ, not overly bad and not good 2/5
Ninja II (Revenge of the Ninja) - Excellent PQ, nice detail 4/5
Ninja III: The Domination - Looks like a vhs copy slapped on a BD-R 1/5
Creepshow 2 - 1080i, not bad PQ, a bit darker than Im used to. Atleast it came with the doco and audio commentary 3/5
Never Sleep Again: The Elm St Legacy - Doco material, mixed bag as expected.
The Psycho Legacy - Same as above.
