Waiting to see reviews first, as always. Love the film but won't upgrade if it's a poor transfer.

I don't own it on DVD, so it will be a first week purchase for me.

Yeah. But Gladiator and Gojira have left really bad tastes in my mouth. So review first.

May be controversial to say, but Army of Darkness is the best of the Evil Dead trilogy imho.
Hello Everynyan! How are you, fine thank you.

Waiting for either an "Evil Dead" box set with "Army of Darkness" included within, or for the first "Evil Dead" to come out and then I'd get the other two separately.

I would also like a real release of the "within the woods". Army of Darknes was my first experience of the Evil Dead Trilogy

I already preordered this. Excellent excellent movie and I was very impressed with the quality of The Evil Dead II's BD, though for some reason it got lukewarm reviews.

FYI -- DVDBeaver Review of Army of Darkness just posted!

PQ looks excellent...no Director's Cut though, and meager extras.

Since this wont include the director's cut, I'll wait for a price drop (if the reviews are good). Or I may wait to see if the Region III director's cut gets a brand new HD master for a BD release and import that instead.

Will it be the director's cut,or theatrical version? Got the theatrical version.Nice blue-ray.Much better resolution, and good colours. But like the director's cut waaaaay better. It's on the disc, but in SD

Oh.Theatrical cut.Keep forgetting that majority of users here is using region A BD.

This is a buy at maybe $15 or lower for me. The lack of the director's cut and the absence of an audio commentary are very much missed.
