There won't be any licensed players for Linux, justl ike with DVD. There simply isn't the money there to make development of the DRM systems worth it. Considering also that the OS is wide open to being altered to bypass those, I'm going to guess that the BDA isn't too enthusiastic about the idea period
Whenever Apple gets around to it they'll have their version out. |

You can play blu-rays for free with Media Player Classic Home Cinema. Just go into the BDMV folder and then the Playlist folder and double click the file.

I was having trouble with the picture being cut off about 4mm at the bottom, but I set it to pan and scan--nothing happened to the picture, except the line went away. Cheers.

A few days ago, i was introduced by my friend with UFUSoft Blu-ray Player, which works well on windows 7/8/vista/xp for playing Blu-ray disc and iso files, but it only for free trial.

You can use VLC to play Blu-Ray on Windows xp, but you will need to download and place the AACS and BD+ DRM libraries and keys in order to play Blu Ray on Windows xp.

nedal, try this: UDF driver.
To others, AFAIK all freeware Blu-ray players (VLC, DAPlayer, etc.) do not have Blu-ray menu support. Last edited by DVD Phreak; 04-04-2013 at 04:50 PM. |

Winxdvd has a free blu-ray software, but I haven't ever access to the program page. And also recently, there is a free one on Leawo's new Blu-ray test page. Just need to submit the review and you can get the free keycode.

We can't say there is no free Blu-ray Player for Windows while the "free" means "to some extent" not completely like VLC, so the widely used must be some shareware. Since you have got a external Blu-ray drive, a compatible Blu-ray Player software is what you need now. Macgo Windows Blu-ray Player is an ideal choice with high quality and reasonable price.
