anybody else watching this? i have a feeling its not going to be the next big sitcom hit, but im still going to give it a few episodes before writing it off because i love joel on the soup, now we will see if he can act

It looks really funny and has gotten great reviews so I'm definitely going to watch it. I agree that it probably won't be a huge hit because it's a bit offbeat but I think it could do well. It has a good timeslot and lead-in so I think it will be fine.

it does seem like a good fit on the night it airs with the other kinda "different" comedies, and putting it with the office pretty much guarantees a lot of people will see it, i hope it catches on though, i think it could be really good, at least for fans of the other thursday night shows

the commercial doesnt really contain many funny parts, there was one clip i saw, i think they played it on the soup or something, it was an extended clip, and it was hysterical, it was a classroom and someone was asking the teacher about his background, i dont want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen it, but it was great, if you have a DVR and its got some space, i would record at least the first episode, give it a chance!

U sound like a spokesman for Community haha!! I dont know maybe i will maybe I wont! U know marketing, they should include a great commercial clip though!! Got Em!!

true, i was disappointed by the clips in the commercial, but oh well, we'll see tonight if its better than the commercials

NBC could be onto something with the Office, 30 Rock, and Community.

That Parks and Recreation show, however, is a travesty.

i liked it, there were some really good parts, but yeah i feel like it might not be able to keep it up, but yeah, it really is better that parks and rec

I saw the premier yesterday. Thought it was good, it has potential to be better. But can't help the feeling that it may get cancelled.

I really thought the lead guy did great as a lead actor. He might have potential.

Is he off Talk Soup now? Who replaced him?

Hard to believe he was a Tight End for Univ. of Washington (or Washington State, can't remember).

It's hard to get over the ridiculous premise of the show--

But it has potential. Hell, Parks and Recreation got a second season, so this could too I suppose.

He is still doing The Soup, and doesn't plan to leave that show anytime soon. It is possible they would go with a replacement host occasionally if he is too busy. He is also in the movie The Informant that opens today.

Ryan, I found the premise a bit weak as well.

the first episode pretty much sucked. I'll give it a few more though.

Parks & recreation has gotten better since the first few episodes. Aziz from Human Giant is hilarious

I agree Parks and Recreation improved after the first few episodes. I rewatched them all over the summer and really enjoyed the last couple episodes. Wasn't a huge fan of last night's episode though. That show would be awful without Aziz though.

I thought Community was really funny, and although the plot was a bit weak I'll definitely keep watching. I found most of the characters likable, especially Alison Brie who also plays Pete's wife on Mad Men. I also liked Chevy Chase, which is saying something because for the most part I dislike everything he's done since Christmas Vacation (except when he was on Chuck). The ratings for it were really good (by NBC standards). It held onto 93% of The Office's viewers with 7.68 million viewers.
