I've just purchased the DREAD PIRATE ROBERTS action figure at the GAMECON 2009 (in Naples), and I'm now thinking to buy the BD release as well!

Any good? What about the picture quality? Is it superb/excellent: no scratches or dust on the print? Pristine, crystal-clear?

I just think THE DREAD PIRATE ROBERTS is the greatest masked hero of all time.

it doesn't look like some state of the art remastered version but it's fine. if you have a problem with film grain, avoid.

I've read it presents only a thin and fine layer of grain, which is great to know. I hate the DNR look.

The Princess Bride looks phenomenal on Blu-ray. There is a little grain, but it's not too bad. It looks amazing for as old as it is.

Well, little grain because that was the WAY the movie was supposed to look. It is an old school movie, thank God.

get it. finally watched my copy & yes there is a fine layer of grain, but so what the level of detail is worth it.

The Princess Bride Blu-ray IS a worthy purchase, great PQ.audio and extras + DVD copy of the film for non blu-ray players(like the car) My second favorite Rob Reiner film, my first fave is This Is Spinal Tap, also a worthy Blu-ray!

Misery is the next on the list.

I'm very pleased with mine, great movie and it looks great. The extras are pretty good; I especiall liked what Mandy Patinkin had to say.

Yes, he said that during the premiere he started crying because of how beautiful the movie was. He also cried while telling this because he said the movie was so beautiful and he wasn't in anything like it before or after.

Very touching. Beyond the parodistic jokes there are very beautiful elements to the story, especially with Inigo Montoya.

Its so phenomenal that the grain doesn't bother me a bit.

I'm very glad it looks phenomenal, since this is one of my fave movies... I'm just asking if there is DIRT or SCRATCHES, because Blu-ray.com mentioned them, other reviewers not.

It's a great action/adventure film and a great love story so BOTH guys and gals can equally enjoy it! A perfect film, like a fine wine, it improves with age.
