I just sold my DVD version of Facing the Giants on EBAY and will soon own the BLU-RAY version. This High-Def Digest review is the worse review I every read regarding what I consider as a very good Christian movie to watch. Hoping to receive the BLU-RAY version in the mail soon.

Why do you care what the reviewers of these sites have to say about the film itself? I ignore the editorial comments on the content of the films and focus on their review of the video and audio quality.

Off topic but a Christian movie I really enjoyed was FireProof, its not on bluray yet but a great lil film

I wouldn't pay too much attention to what some reviewers write. IMO, some of the reviewers on that site are hit and miss. More hit than miss.

I don't see what was wrong with the review, it was a terrible movie, loaded with pretentiousness. It was a cliche high school sports movie, loaded with preachyness. Everything about the movie was terrible.

Are we really to believe that Facing the Giants (currently 9% fresh on RT) is a 4.5/5 star movie? I've seen other movies that scored very low on just about every other scale (Fireproof = 37% fresh, 4/5 stars here) get a break on their reviews. Does the credibility of this site change in your eyes if their biases affect their reviews?

I usually skip actual movie reviews (and rent to judge for myself, if the movie interests me) and only read the reviewer's opinions on PQ, AQ, and the extras, which are usually fairly objective; otherwise, I might have skipped some movies I ended up loving and purchased some I ended up hating.

BTW, my comments are not specifically about Blu-ray.com (which is my favorite site on the web!), but about any disc reviews, including those on other websites, in periodicals, or on television.

I read reviews but that doesn't mean I'll follow what the reviewer says.

Doesn't much matter to me, this site could give Facing the Giants 25 stars out of 5 and there's still not a snowball's chance in hell I'd watch it.
