Default Please stop making SAW movies.

I admit, when I first went to the theaters with my roommate to check out SAW, I enjoyed it. I thought Id guessed the end and I wasnt even close. It was pretty original at the time.

Then the sequels came. Now they just wont stop. All they do now is come up with more outlandish ways to kill people. Jigsaw always gave people a chance to live, they just had to sacrifice to do it. Now the third Jigsaw just kills. Even the reasons he picked his victims was lost along the way. The people he picked had reason for being there, now its anyone and everyone. Now Jigsaw is picking on Health Insurance executives. What is he, an Obama supporter?

I know these make a ton of money, and as a fan of Halloween and F13, I have no right to complain about sequels, but at least they try to do something different every time.

Full disclosure, I havent seen anything past SAW 3. Just bits and pieces.

They won't stop. The films are too profitable.

I've seen them all. They've gotten progressively worse and non-sensical. I would expect 2 or 3 more (including VI). A brief hiatus. Then, the big reboot.

Sigh. Thy just never stop do they? They remind me of Activision Blizzard; always milking their own franchises to death.

How about you quit watching the SAW movies and let us who enjoy them do so.

Whining cause they're making great films that are profitable is silly.

Just like those stupid Epic Movie/Meet the Spartans type movies...............more than anything I just want one of those to just COMPLETELY bomb, and I want to be there when the studio exec behind it hears about it.....

My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old.
I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced
diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning,
if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while
doing stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now.

Well, given that the Saw franchise is out to be the pre-eminent name in torture-porn, it would make sense that they would release a ton of titles (just like porn does). I imagine they eventually will bring the Jigsaw saga to a close and then reboot the property with a completely new killer person.

Not to mention too good. And probably one of the most deep when it comes to the storyline.

It's nice to see a horror film that actually cares about it's continuity and storyline.

I thought the films would get worse after Jigsaw was killed off, but they've surprised me.

They have bombed. It doesn't matter. They're cheap enough to produce.

By the way, Epic Movie was funny. Date Movie and Meet the Spartans was not.

As long as they're profitable, they won't stop.

And nobody is forcing you to watch them.

I've seen all the saw movies to date, it's always been a Halloween tradition. Now, I don't know if I want to see the next one. I also feel it's become the "see how many ways people can die" type film the Final Destination films became after the second one.

I agree, they're awful films. The stories are somewhat well-made but it's really getting old. The first one is the only one worth watching.
