Default So my new optical cable question is...

Would it be better for me to directly connect my ps3 to my soundbar with the optical cable, or just do what Im doing now which is using the HDMI hookup and outputing it from the tv to the soundbar. Does it lose anything from going through the tv??
Im all about the Ultraviolet copy

Default Optical cable

Yes. Your TV's optical output will ONLY deliver 2.0 stereo sound ( except for some OTA 5.1 signals received by your TV's ATSC tuner, if it has one ). If you want anything other than plain old stereo ( Dolby 5.1 DTS 5.1, etc. ) it would be best to go directly to the soundbar from your PS3.
