If this is your 1st time in 3D, which it looks like it is, you should really enjoy the new experience of it in 3D. I have now seen this 3x (opening nite in IMAX 3D, then "Real-D 3D", & then in IMAX 3D again over vacation this past week with my friend & his wife/2 teen girls). I WILL be seeing it one more time, in "normal" mode (2D) in a week or so; just because I want to see if it plays somewhat differently in regular viewing or not, & becuz' I really think it's a very good movie.

Haven't you seen this Fors', albeit in the above noted "normal/2D" mode? I though I recalled you posting you'd seen it a week or 2 back. ()

It does take a bit getting used to but I didn't get any sick or weird feelings (vision, etc) at all. They show 2-3 previews of some forthcoming 3D movies (Shrek 3D for one) to give your eyes a couple minutes to adjust & get used to it (just what I think, not what I Know for sure). It's a Very Updated version of 3D that Cameron worked very hard on -- the old normal 3D cameras were about 150 lbs., the ones they were able to work with ended up being around 13 lbs (!!). Just "some" of the updated technology he spent the last ____ years getting ready to do this film with.

That's alot of Avatar. Glad to hear viewing this in 3D is cool. Can't wait, I think this is my first non-red/blue glasses 3D movie. I wish we had an IMAX, but I'm just glad we have a screen that is showing it in 3D.

Overall I thought the movie was well done. I think it's in my top 3 of the year.

Just as a Quick Side Note.
At the Bottom of the Forum,On the Hot Deals Section Of the Forum.
There is a Thread, with a Sweet Link in it.

Its to a $3.00 off coupon for the Blu-Ray Version of "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs".

So depending on where you buy it ,it can be under $20.00 at the right place and adding in the coupons discount.
Its a printable coupon so theres a link to follow and after a few clicks of the mouse, there you go.A coupon for the Movie.

You can also post the link to customer service at Amazon and they may match the price(or go a few cents cheaper)Its worth a try if you dont have a Store near by selling the Movie.
Or if you have a store that has the Movie for $29.99.

I wish Target or Wal mart still had a seperate $5.00 off coupon that you could add to the $3.00 coupon.
But the coupon is good for about 3 months If I Read it Correctly. So by then, the movie could have had a short sale or a permanent price drop.

So two months from now the movie may be $18.99 regular price. Then you still have a $3.00 coupon thats still in date. And ,Boom,$15.99 for the Movie.

But what I Love the Best about the Movie is that its another Combo Pack.Includes Blu-Ray ~ Standard DVD ~ Digital Copy.

Cant beat the Combo Packs. That extra standard DVD is like getting $10.00 or more FREE,if you were to buy the regular DVD seperately.

And if you have a friend that has a kid with a Regular DVD Player.Or a Friend or Family member without a Blu-Ray Player. Then Have them throw in about $8.00 or more. They can Buy a 10 pack of Empty DVD Cases for about $1.33 per case.

Then set them up with their own copy. And add their monetary contribution with the Coupon and you may have the Blu-Ray and Digital Copy for around $13.99 Right Now.

Not a Bad Deal at All if you look at it that way.

I didn't really notice any Major (if ANY) difference from IMAX 3D to "Real-D 3D". This most recent IMAX 3D was in a "converted" theater (normal to Imax) so it wasn't Quite as Large, not Quite as Loud (though it Was still Loud to an extent), but being the Room itself was a bit smaller than a Real IMAX sized theater, the Audio Nuances really JUMPED off the screen even more.

No, I haven't seen it and I probably won't be able to. Just too much going on every day after work and every weekend. I still haven't watched but 1 blu in the last month, and that was Up with my daughter. I never have any time to do much to be honest. And when I do get time, I usually am busy working on my HT in some way.......I have had my projector for 3 months now, and I have watched a total of 5 blu's, thats it. The projector has only 60 hours on it too.

The thing what got me most excited about Avatar is how closely the story was to the classic Edgar Rice Bourroughs John Carter of Mars (JCOM). It is currently being made into a movie by guess who......Pixar... as a live/cgi epic! I read articles that talked about how Cameron stated how he was hugely influenced by Burroughs in making AVATAR. I also read that the producers of the JCOM movie have been very closely looking at AVATAR!!! Now that would be a kick ass movie if it follows the approach taken in AVATAR!

Here's a little more detail from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Carter_of_Mars_(film))

Got to Love It.
Parts Express has a Place where you can get one of their catalogs for FREE.
And unlike other places that say allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. It said allow 7 to 10 days to receive.

I ordered it Saturday or Sunday, and its here today.
And its huge. Almost 350 pages of full color pics and descriptions on every type of product and every product they sale.
And it says on the front cover $6.00.

And with the Huge Size and Thickness(not to mention what Postage Costs Them)Its Amazing its Completely Free.

So,if any of you want a Great Catalog full of all types of Audio Parts this is a Great Website(where Big Daddy and Brent get all their subwoofer components from)And they have everything you could think of.

So why not order a FREE catalog that you will have within a week of ordering that can help you find any Audio Part(including kits to make your own Subs and Speakers).

I Love A Catalog Like they Used To Have.
A Book You Can Hold In Your Hands, instead of Only being available online.

Overall I thought the movie was well done. I think it's in my top 3 of the year.
Is it just me or do the creatures in Avatar look a lot like Brendan Fraser?
