I haven't started any outside projects but have them lined up My biggest and first project is to prep my chicken coop for demolition in May. It is suppose to rain all week here I still need to prep all my yard equipment as well. As usual, this is all at the same time I will be getting new HT gear so my plate is full

Weird, I never turned them off. I started a new gallery and I guess it defaults to turning off your ratings, so you then need to enable them?

Regardless, you may rate it now.

Good morning guys.....I hope everyone has a good day. I got all my mulch done on Tuesday, and yesterday I got about 1/2 done with the stone steps I am placing in the backyard. I should finish the other half this Saturday. Then all I need to do is purchase an umbrella for the table on the patio and throw down a few earned cold ones!

Hey, Fors*,

Great job on the HT Pics and all of the upgrades you have done. This is really an exceptional setup and should be used to demonstrate what can be done with limited space when one puts forth the determination.

You've done good, buddy!

And speaking of mulch, I need to get mine done here soon. Also, my front "yard" was all ivy, but it some how died over the winter and is now just a bunch of dead ivy and a PITA root system. I need to figure out how to get rid of it. 'Tis the season, right???

Good luck with that ivy crap, you will have a tough time no doubt getting rid of it. I wonder why it died?

Mulching about killed me on Tuesday since we added new areas in the backyard....it about doubled what I usually did, or a total of 7 scoops (all done in 4 hours by the way.)

Thanks for the compliments Lou (yours isn't too shabby either. ) I feel for the first time content with everything I have, and that I am not "lacking" in some area......this is truly the first time I can say that. So, I am in semi-retirement from upgrades, and plan to enjoy my HT for all it can be for the foreseeable future.

I totally understand where you are coming from.

We get to a point where the ROI on upgrades is so small that we are content with what we have.

I need to update my five year plan, but after the TV, I will want the remainder of the Emo amps to give me 5 channels again, a 3D BD player, and extra 3D glasses.

Although I would love a high end DAC, the more I read, the less benefit I will gain based on my Pre/Pro design. From what I have gathered, it re-digitizes the analog in ports. So, all XLR and RCA port signals get converted to digital and then run through the DAC inside the Onkyo. There is no analog pass through option. I just assumed analog in was analog all the way through. Nope... Wrong...

Anyway, hope your new job is going well. Or have you not started???

I never knew that about analog, but good to know. Yep, the point of diminishing returns is a pretty big factor now a days when it comes to upgrades, as it becomes harder to justify them.

I start my new job next Thursday....I am in my 2 week notice time here at my old job, which equates to doing nothing, as alot of my daily stuff has been distributed to other people. It is nice coming into work and knowing I can screw around all day and nothing can really be said about it.....so I just kick back and read the paper or log on some time here.
