Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately you can find Manhunter as part of the package for now. In the future maybe you could pick up just that version. Who knows.

Ali just had a release in France I think, but there are forced subtitles when an english track is played.
1921 DVDs,
916 Blu-rays,
175 HD DVDs,
37 Laserdiscs
& counting...

A director's cut of The Keep would be nice.

Although any version of The Keep would do...

They are both based on the Thomas Harris novel 'Red Dragon'.

Also, it's (I believe) the theatrical cut of Manhunter only. It's missing some scenes form both the Anchor Bay cut as well as Anchor Bay's director's cut.

I'm hoping The Insider come sout soon. I have waited on buying the DVD for the blu-ray. Can't wait for Heat.

Also, I have never heard of The Keep. I'll have to look that one up.

They need to release Last of the Mohicans on blu.

Good! The theatrical cut is the true version and the only one worth owning. There was never any need to tinker with it and the Anchor Bay versions are just massive mistakes.

I prefer the anchor bay cuts. Mann always tinkers with his films later anyway, and I assume his "director's cut" is the version he prefers, not the theatrical. The theatrical had some mistakes (like the gun firing 6 times when it only holds 5 rounds), and I love the additional scenes of Graham and his wife in the hotel room, as well as when he visits the next potential victim at the end.

I went to a post house earlier this year that was working on Heat and The Last of the Mohicans for Blu-ray so I can't imagine it being too much longer for the latter to get released. I was actually expecting Fox to announce it for release right around the same time as Public Enemies for BD.

I am eagerly awaiting Collateral and The Insider and was really bummed to see Ali had forced French subtitles. I really wanted that one!!

I'll be happy once he releases Last Mohicans and Collateral. I've held off on those and would like to see them again.
