The Vampire Assistant. I think John C. Reilly is hilarious, but this movie looks atrocious
Maybe Im wrong and it will be a decent flick, but in my opinion, the trailer was disappointing to say the least.

Ok I am not thrilled by the trailer, if that's what we are talking about, but I have been reading the series of books and they are really good. They are written for young adults, but still entertaining.

My son, who is 12, and I have been reading them all. Just not sure on what the film will be like after seeing the trailer a few times. I see some inconsistencies between books and movie already, but hope that I am wrong.

Unlike Zombies? They don't glitter so don't worry.

That was what I was going to say. I'm pretty sure that you could say every genre has been exploited.

Vampires, zombies, aliens and armageddon are the only options? I favor reality. Or things that could/would actually happen. I know, not very escapist of me. Such a party pooper.

That's been over done also. Reality is over rated.

I am sorry, not sure where you live but I live everyday in reality and let me tell you it sure sucks at time. I prefer my movies to be fantasy and excapism, make a fun change from reality.

Im not knocking the genre, just this partiular movie. The preview is either the worst Ive ever seen or the movie itsels is garbage. I love zombie/vampire/werewolf movies, just think they approached this one the wrong way. Like I said in my original post, maybe it will be a decent flick, just a bad trailer.

You might be on to something!

Aren't all movies escapist? Even if everything in a movie could happen it's still not your own life up there on the screen. |
