I noticed this at the 2 walmarts near me last thursday and was wondering if anyone else has seen it at theirs? It's not suppose to be released till Oct 20th

I've seen it at Target and pretty much every other B&M store I have been to.

Saw it at Fry's also. But I can't stand the film so I left it there.

How does this happen that stores have movies out early? Don't they have agreements to not do that? Yes, employees may be stupid, but what excuse do the managers have?

It was supposed to be out last Tuesday 10/6; whether your local Best Buy actually happened to have it in stock is another matter.

Lucked out and found one copy at ours--
Salesperson looking over my shoulder noticed, "Holy (expl.), Wonka's out on Blu-ray?....I WORK at the store, and I didn't even know we had that!

Actually it was supposed to be released on October 6th that is why most of the stores already have them. For some reason I think amazon is the only place where it is listed to be released on the 20th.

I was at best buy on the 6th and they had it in stock then.

It was an Oct 6th release date. However, a lot of catalog titles see early releases. I don't think the street days are as strict on them. Street dates are usually only a huge deal when it's a new movie, like Transformers 2, any other big name, new release, etc...

No, all Warner Brothers titles are region free.

"Does the Blu-ray version of '.......' look better than it's DVD version?" I'm so sick of this question. 99% of Blu-rays look better than their DVD counterpart. Period.
