I'm getting excited for college basketball season as well. I'm really interested to see how the Kentucky situation works out for Calipari. On paper they look like a final four team, but we'll see if his freshmen live up to the hype. Unfortunately, I fear it's going to be another down year for Miami. It looks like '07-'08 was a false hope for us.

Very excited for college basketball season. I'm a Northern Iowa fan and they should be really good. They return all 5 starters from last year's NCAA Tournament team. I'm going to the Virgin Islands November 18-24 to watch them in the Paradise Jam. Some good teams are going to be there, including Tennessee, Boston College, and Purdue.

Yeah, Im interested as well with what UK will do with just the massive amount of talent. On the miami note it really looked like they were getting in position to start to contend in the ACC but it does seem they are back to being middle of the pack

I really wanted the terps to press to get Antoine Allen from baltimore but as usual we let md talent walk out the door

If Ahelegbe and Koch can put the team on their backs they might have a shot at the tournament.

Supposedly Eglseder has improved a lot over the summer. He went to a prestigious big men camp that supposedly helped his footwork a lot. I always thought his problem was he had it too easy in high school. He played in the smallest class in Iowa and just dominated because he was 7'2" and the guys that were guarding him were usually around 6' so he dominated. He started to improve last year though, and him and Koch are a very good duo.

Yeah, I don't understand why some coaches don't sign their contracts. If he signs his contract he gets $6 million. It's somewhat common for a coach not to sign though. We hear they agreed to a contract but it may be a year before they actually sign while agents and lawyers go over every little thing in the contract.

Fighting Illini fan. Hopefully we can win a game or two in the tourney with the new freshman coming in mixed in with the other players. Would like to see better offense this year.

Kansas alum here. I haven't seen anything official, but I've heard my Jayhawks are pretty high in the rankings. This is not bragging. I absolutely hate being ranked high before the season even starts. Not that rankings mean anything, but when you're in the Top 25 other teams play you harder and it's too easy for the players on your team to lose the hunger to compete. So while I'm excited for the season to start (first exhibition game in only 15 days!) I am not happy about the poll results.

I hope Duke will be able to get some bigger guys at the paint because they rely too much on the 3 ball. Live or Die from there.

Think Kansas will be number one in virtually every poll. They have by far the best returning talent. They need to stop getting in fights with the football team though.

I expect North Carolina to have a similar year to 05-06, after they won their last title. They'll still be good but lost too many people to be a title contender. I'd guess they'll lose in the 2nd or 3rd round of the tournament.

No they lost allot but are still loaded I'd say while they might go deep in the tourney this year, I'd say they'd be back in the NC hunt next year.

Thats what I said , I figure the same thing the young guns they have need a year before they can really start being considered for a NC, but I expect them to have a good year.
