Does anyone know if the excellent Paris, Texas is scheduled for release in the UK, of it has already been released anywhere in the world? This film would look fantastic on blu-ray.

The only release I know of is the Criterion release scheduled for Jan. 26 in the U.S.

Just checking any other Axiom Films blu-rays that I want to get after just purchasing In A Better World and saw that Paris, Texas is coming out on 28th January 2013. Amazon link below:

I just recently bought all the Wim Wenders Axiom DVDs from Fopp for £3 which I didn't have

Hopefully some more will follow on Blu-ray shortly

Yup released in Germany and France as well. The French edition has a great bd review and also its Region B so good for UK and other region B countries. Here is the link to French version:

Terrific news, I haven't got round to getting the Criterion yet and, presuming Axiom doesn't mess up the PQ, I won't have to.

Since starting this thread (quite a while ago!) I have bought the french release which I'm more than happy with. Can't see myself buying the UK one unless it has lots of new/exclusive extras.

The French Wim Wenders double-pack is only 20 Euros at the moment, which seems a sensible option:

Really looking forward to this one and hoping it is spot on the best version available, I hope Axiom put care into it, produce a booklet and beautiful slipcase, a digibook would have been classy I think but I doubt we'll get that.

I hope the PQ/AQ are faultless and extras are all there too.. please get it right [fingers crossed]

They did great with "Wings Of Desire" and also the booklet was cool so I think they will treat this title with care too for sure.

Looks like the hut have it a bit cheaper and the extra's they've listed as this:
Special Features:
Feature-length commentary with Wim Wenders.
'The Road to Paris, Texas.'
Deleted scenes with optional commentary.
Home movies.
Cannes Film Festival footage.
Original trailer.
Exclusive limited edition collector's booklet.

Sounds promising but maybe not as many extras as the critereon.
Well, the booklet counts out a nice digibook, so is it a nice slipcase or digipack variety?
or just the standard amaray?
