JCVD why ruin your career again . You had so much going on and people even thinking you were worth of an Oscar nod and now this crap.

It's tought to get a job in Hollywood. Mickey Rourke had to fight to get a decent payday in Iron Man 2...even after his Oscar nominated performance in The Wrestler. Other actors (think Aston Kutcher) manage to find steady work. Go figure.

This premiered in Austin last week and reports are it's awesome (for what it is, obviously). I'm pumped. Lungdren and Van Damme's final battle is supposed to be epic.

Guys, it's Universal Soldier 3 for god's sake. You can trash it, but is it really pretending to be anything it's not?

Looking forward to it.

Stallone offered JCVD an appearance in his theatrical action film, yet JCVD said no, he wanted to take his career in a different direction. This is the same direction that led to his downfall.

Ehm, no.

US3 has been reviewed like a great action movie.

Van Damme is working on his second directorial effort, 'The Eagle Path'.

The future looks brighter and brighter for him.

Direct-to-video doesn't always equal crap, just as theatrical release doesn't always equal quality. There can be a number of factors in why it was chosen to be released that way. Perhaps the distributor feels that a DTV release is the best, most profitable way to reach the film's audience, which will be decidedly niche. Or maybe it was conceived as a DTV film from the get go. Whatever the reason, I'll be checking it out as I loved the first one (not so much The Return).

I'll rent it, since both JCVD and Lundgren are in there, but I didn't expect a forum dedicated to that movie...

Because the budget is just 15 millions of dollars, and Hollywood sucks. See Indiana Jones 4 or American Pie.

It has been screened at the Fantafest (Austin, TX).

It wouldn't take much to be better than Indy 4. Funny if it turns out to be better.
