Sony Pictures Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced two 1993 action movies for release on Blu-ray on January 12, 2010: 'Cliffhanger' and 'Last Action Hero', starring two big leading men of the genre at the time – Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, respectively. Both BDs will feature Sony's movieIQ BD-Live application to access real-time information on the cast, music, trivia and more while watching the movie.

Great news. One of Schwarzenegger's most underrated flicks finally gets a decent release. Some features would be nice, but I'm happy just to have an upgrade in audio/video.

Can't wait, this was one of my favorites as a kid. Also looking forward to Cliffhanger, hopefully they both have nice transfers

+100. Can`t wait too. I don`t understand why this movie is so much underrated. It is a great movie, funny, with good sountrack (AC\DC rocks

I think people who dislike it simply don`t have any sense of humour.
Or they prefer to see Arnie like a killing machine))

Finally, The Last Action Hero finally in WIDESCREEN in the superior format!

The damn DVD is in crappy pan and scan!

Was really looking forward for this film ! Love it !

Plus, Sony will do it region free (catalog title)

(anyway, they do almost every film : new release or not, region free !)

The kid's a really annoying brat but Ahnholdt and Charles Dance more than compensate. I'll buy it but its a disappointment that the AC/DC video is missing

Thankfully I found the OOP flip disc with widescreen and pan & scan at a pawn shop for $3. It's help to tide me over until a BD release.

I havent seen this movie since it came out. I remember liking the first half of the movie. But when Arnold gets into the real world, I remember it being more of a downer movie. I may have to rent it to see if it was really like that or not. Now, True Lies on the other hand, that movie rocks!!
