Default Chuck Norris on Blu-ray - The Official Thread

When I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you.

One of the baddest dudes on the planet deserves his own official thread here on the forum, so here it is. The following will be a list of Blu-rays available and those scheduled for a release. Feel free to also use this thread to discuss and compare the current releases of his movies and let us know if you find out there's a new movie being released in the near future, to help keep the list below up to date.

This is how it works:

If there's no flag next to the title of the movie, it means it has been released in America and possibly other countries as well around the world. If there is a flag next to it, it has been released in that country and perhaps a few other ones, but not in America. At the moment, the following kick-ass Chuck Norris movies has been released in and/or outside of North America on Blu-ray:

The Way of the Dragon (1972)

Review

Good Guys Wear Black (1978)

A Force of One (1979)

The Octagon (1980)

Review

Lone Wolf Mcquade (1983)

Review

Missing in Action (1984)

Review

Missing in Action 2: The Beginning (1985)

Review

Code of Silence (1985)

Review

The Delta Force (1986)

Review

Firewalker (1986) - Scheduled for release on April 21

Braddock: Missing in Action III (1988)

I used to always check out the LA Times Calendar section on Sunday when they had full page ads for upcoming movies. So, I see an ad for Chuck's flick, "Hellbound", opening the next Friday. And then, the next week, it didn't come out. Does anyone know anything about this? Pulled from theaters before release because of Cannon's downfall? I've never seen another movie advertised to be released in theaters that was cancelled like that.

HELLBOUND (1993) was supposed to be released Jan 1994, but fell victim to the bankruptcy of Cannon Pictures and proved to be their last production. It came out on VHS in the US about 18 months later, although it hit UK video shelves Summer of 1994.
BD: The Third Man (Studio Canal, CA (bilingual), A) £3; Warriors of Heaven and Earth (Sony, ZA) £1; Wolf (Sony, ZA) £1. Digital Codes: Close Encounters (UK; 31 Dec, 16) £2; Skyfall (USA; 12 Feb, 15) £1; Vertigo (USA; Exp. unk.) £2.

Thanks, Markgway

The really weird thing is they had it coming to theaters up until days before. I know Cannon pretty much went down long before.

Would have been nice to have gotten Invasion U.S.A. with the last bunch of MGM releases.

I can't believe Forest Warrior came out before Invasion USA or Forced Vengeance.

Yeah, would love to have Invasion U.S.A. on Blu-Ray.

Funny that both Chuck and Arnold fought the Devil in action flicks: Hellhound and End of Days, and played themselves in hero-worship fantasy action films: Sidekicks and Last Action Hero.

We've had a good start of the year so far with Firewalker and Hero and the Terror being announced. While not a personal favorite, I'm hoping Invasion U.S.A. gets a release this year on its 30th anniversary.

We need Braddock: Missing in Action 3 released on Blu-Ray in the US. I think it's, by far, the best of the series, even if it doesn't follow continuity with the previous films. I don't know why it didn't come out when the other two hit Blu.

I have a soft spot for 1991's The Hitman and would welcome that to high-def too.

Sidekicks was a guilty pleasure of mine as a kid. Not just cuz it was basically "Last Action Hero" with Norris (though this was first), but because Danica McKellar was my first crush.

Oh and the training scenes are cool to. A shame the score's never been released.

I'm with you man. My Missing In Action set is incomplete! Lol. It's been so long since I've seen the third one, don't really remember it too well. How did it break continuity?
Recent watches:
Collision Course (1989 - Jay Leno & Pat Morita)
Rocky (For like the 100th Time)
Godzilla (2014)

Looking To Buy: Bambi II (New & Sealed With Slip) PM me

It completely ignored Braddock being MIA in 1 & 2. My own theory is that III takes place as a nightmare sequence in the 1984 film.

Still love owning the blu.
My Digital Codes will not be sold or given away. Buy your own Blu Rays.
