What receiver or pre-pro/amp combo do you plan on using?
Yes sir!! I will make sure of it.... Just make sure you remind me..
Hopefully I will be in Oakpark or Southfield.

Flint & Detroit, worst crime cities in the country...... lol

That will be just about 18 years ago you left, I had/have some family in Flint, but don't know them very well.

This is torture.
I know how you feel. I recently bought an Emotiva XPA-5 amp. When it finally showed up I was in bed sick as a dog. Sicker than I have ever been..thought I was actually going to die.
I managed to make my way downstairs after a couple of days and saw the huge box sitting in my living room. I didn't even have the strength to open it up and look at it.
By the time I was better it was almost Christmas. I finally was able to hook it up LAST WEEKEND! It had been sitting in the box since just before Thanksgiving.

Thanks, that's my little heart and she is wonderful!

She loves that place and it is hard to get her away from it sometimes. There is an island on the Detroit River called Belle Isle and they recently built a very large playscape for kids there. In the summer it is always packed with kids. It normally looks like 15-20 elementary schools just let out.

I have seen your gallery before, but I just noticed and wanted to ask. Is that the Toshiba 65" DLP? That's what I had before.

If so, we both know how light weight it is, but can you imagine someone stealing that from a fourth floor and nobody seeing it leave the building?

Hamp..yep, that's the one. I actually used your settings that you posted when I first hooked it up. I don't think I've even had to adjust them in th past year or so.
Yeah..a little bit too big for someone to carry down 4 flights unnoticed, let alone right out my front door.

Luckily I have neighbors that don't work and notice everything that happens in the neighborhood.

Glad to see that you're putting your HT back together. Looks like it's going to be a killer system.

No I haven’t seen them, but they are cool. You have me thinking about setting something up.

I guess it would depend on the place I get and how the room is laid out.

I Plan on Making a Mini BSG Wall Area in my Room.
A Few Posters and Pics.

Along with shelves to showcase some of the vehicle replicas and the Busts and Statues they have produced for the Show.

They have a Few Amazing Busts(Like Starbuck and a Centurion)

Just have to find about 4 Mid-Size Posters and Prints.

I am going to start looking if they make replicas of the weapons and/or helmets also.

But to have a Replica of the Galactica,Pegasus,Colonial One,A Cylon BaseStar(and of course a Viper and Cylon Raider)would be sweet.

But all I have yet is a Limited Edition Booklet and a Set of Starbuck's Dog Tags.
They are actually Pretty Nice to be honest.

QuantumMechanix has some nice BSG collectibles(and some amazing High End Pieces).

That's pretty much what I would like to have also,

(1) Galactica
(2) Pegasus
(3) Cylon Basestar
(4) Couple vipers (older viper from the current show and the new viper also)
(5) Couple Cylon Raiders(one of them being scar would be cool)

I would love to have an older Cylon and the new model cylon. Put up a few posters.

I hope the new place allows for this or if it will be WAF. I know she loves the finish on the speakers and subs, I just don't know if she will have some added idea's for decor when we get a home.

Like Todd mentioned.....collectibles are a nice way to "personalize" your HT. Hopefully you will have the space to set-up some kind of display Hamp. Some are expensive and others you can find a really good deal.

Hello everyone!!!

Just a little update about situation of what will be coming soon. We have finally found a house, it’s not our first or second choice but it’s what we got.

We found a foreclosure home from a bank that needs some work. It’s a little tiny house, but it will be our home . I do have some ideas for the Home Theater, but I must work on the everyday living portion of the home first. I have not a clue when I will be starting my build which will be in the basement.

We just came across this house and for some reason it will take 60 days to close, but I am trying to push for 30 day close on it. Even after the close is when I have to start the work on the home.

As for now, I am in the process of moving my things out of this somewhat hated apartment and into storage until I move into the house. I shouldn’t say hated, because I know I am going to miss this place. The only thing that made me dislike the apartment was the break-ins.

Wanted to write this note about the new place because a few of you show concern and that makes a person feel great. A few of you have sent PM’s and mentioned it in other threads asking or saying congrats on the new house. Just in case I might have missed one or two, I didn’t do it on purpose, so please forgive.

Would you believe I am trying my best not to be excited, because my ultimate project is a long ways off!!!!

To everyone that has shown concern, thank you and please keep us in your prayers, we still need it.

Congrats, Hamp!!! I closed on my house last year under similar circumstances. I will tell you, these bank-owned homes do take a while to close. It took me about 50 days and I was pre-approved! The sticking point I ran into was the bank that owned it wasn't local, so it took forever to connect with them. All the best of luck to you, and congrats!!!

Major Congrats HAMP!! Whether it's a 8000 SF Semi-mansion or whatever one can afford, it'll soon be YOUR HOME, & that's whats important. Lol, yea, very nice BOX pictures, but at least we get to see some Gorgeous Monitor Audio speakers. So who you going with for your Security, ADT, or a .357 Magnum?

Good luck in the move. 30 days or a bit more, it will all be worth it. Good things come to those who (must) wait. Patience "Grasshopper"...

I know I will have some of the best doors I can afford and it seems ADT helped out with my friends house. I am glad I didn't keep my AR-15 here at the apartment, but will keep it at my house when I move in.

It's at my uncle house, I may have a hard time getting it back from him.
