BTW, TRU is having a Buy 1 Get 40% another sale on all their BD's and DVD's.

This has already been posted in a thread dedicated to this, but I thought it was worth repeating here as they have a display in store that seems to be stocked with Sony titles, most of them at $9.99.

Titles included:
Close Encounters 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition ($14.99)
Hook
Muppets Take Manhatten
Stuart Little
Stuart Little 2
Planet 51
Zathura
This Is It
Fireproof
Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs
Jumanji
Open Season 3
The Adventures of Milo and Otis

Some of these were titles I was considering spending the 5000 promo points on, but fortunately ended up selecting titles not on this list.

Anyway, if you buy them in pairs, it works out OK and you can submit PC/BP requests.

I purchased 4, which would've worked out to about $8 each before tax. My total came out a little better but only because I had a $5 off $25 or more coupon.

Are you valid for the purchase credit form if you used your Sony Card to buy Blu-ray's from SonyRewards.com?

I'm not sure, but I think it should be OK.

I think that purchases from Sony stores or the Sony site (and I'm assuming therefore from the SonyRewards site) you don't have to submit for BP, since they give you purchases there 5X points automatically. However, I think you should still be able to submit PC requests.

You can just give SR a call if no one else here knows. (I never really bought anything directly from Sony with actual $, only points).

As soon as anyone who participated in the spend 5,000 points, get 5,000 points back promotion gets credited their points it would be great if you shared the info! I also wanna make sure they don't try to screw me out of the promotion since they messed up my order.

I haven't received the bonus points yet, but it's only been about 2 weeks (I redeemed my points right before the end of the promo).

I'll posted when they post.

I wasn't sure how to create a new thread (or if I'm even able to create a new thread based on "membership") so if an OP is reading, please feel free to create a new thread. If this is already posted, please merge my post with another thread. Obviously, I'm technologically illiterate. LOL. After all that....

It seems SonyRewards is offering a new promotion. When I logged in to get my "Wheel of Fortune" points for today, they describe a "March Madness" game on the home page. It's essentially the The Price is Right's "Plinko" where you drop a basketball and it falls into either a 30%, 40%, or 50% off an item slot. I won 40% off an item, added a blu-ray to my shopping cart, and automatically received 40% off (in points) the blu-ray in my cart.

I hope this helps someone else save on a blu-ray that might be in their wish list. I don't believe this is one of those select, only-if-you-got-an-email offers, as I never received an email. It was located on the lower, left corner of my SonyRewards homepage when I signed in. Good luck!

UPDATE: This deal will work on ALL items (that aren't usually excluded, like Gift Cards, etc etc etc) as far as I'm aware, including Blu-ray players, Home Theater systems, Televisions, etc. Good time to redeem "saved up" points!
