Anyone know if MGM will be releasing Hackers with Angelina Jolie on Bluray? Been wondering and i tried searching online but got a bunch of articles about piracy and stuff.

Check the movies section of the site, under the home page. It will be in the top section. Who knows? I know they have been steadily making announcements as to what is being released.

I havent seen anything about this being on Blu ray, I do remember this movie, a long lonnnnng time ago. As much as I can remember it was a pretty good movie. I'm hoping we see more catalogue titles on BD next year, I'm waiting for some big ones like Snatch and Boondock Saints.

Great movie! I loved their visual effects of what hacking was supposed to be...amusing. And the bragging of the 14.4 kbps modem. They talked about it like it was lightning fast!!! LOL!

Thread necromancy! Arise!

It is now halfway through 2010, and we still haven't seen any word on the most amazing movie ever made?

Anyone? I want to watch this in Blu-Ray with my surround sound cranked to the point of the house collapsing!

BTW, when 14.4k modems first came out, they were drooled over like todays iPhone when first released.

Mess with the best, die like the rest!

i have it on LD too. Id watch it but my player is history. totally looking forward to a blu-ray release. They're going to have to do some major editing to the source b/c my dvd copy is a horrible transfer. But to its credit it did come out in like 1998 and theres never been an updated version.

Cool

I hope they bring it as the computer science 101 pack that they released a bit back that included Wargames and Anti Trust.

I know this thread hasn't been posted in for awhile but if anyone from MGM is watching I want them to at least know there is some revelent intrest.

Honestly these were some of my favorite movies growing up.

Hackers is a guilty pleasure and id love to have it on blu if the quality is good. BTW, that fly laptop that put Burn in the butter zone was a Powerbook with a pentium chip if memory serves. They must have been psychic.
