Battlestar Galactica webisodes...??? - Blu-ray Forum

I understand that the blu-ray release of BSG does not contain ANY of the webisodes UNLIKE the standard DVD releases. I was wondering if you BSG & Blu-Ray fans alike plan on keeping your standard DVD set of BSG along with the Blu-Ray release for the sake of having the webisodes, or are you willing to live without them? Just curious. Thanks for your replies!

You are mistaken. The BSG Blu-ray set has all the webisodes except the "Resistance: Face of the Enemy" ones that ran between Season 4.0 and Season 4.5. The DVD versions of Season 4.5 and the Complete Series are also lacking these "Resistance" webisodes, so there is no benefit in having the DVD over the Blu-ray.

I have the complete Blu-ray set and have not seen any webisodes anywhere.

I just downloaded the missing webisodes and burned them to a DVD to keep with my set (which is in a binder rather than the packaging, so along with the plan it's 22 discs).

Problem solved.

Resistance and Face of the enemy are two different sets of webisodes.

The resistance is on Season 3 Disc 2 and the Razor ones are on the Razor Disc.

It's just the Face of the Enemy that is not included.

They will probably be packaged with the individual season sets coming out in 2010.

Doubt it. Universal will probably just reuse the same discs.

You are correct - I mistakenly lumped the two together in my last post. The Resistance webisodes, as well as the Razor webisodes, are present in the special features on the BD discs (as well as the DVDs). The Face of the Enemy webisodes are not on the discs, for both the BD and DVD versions.

As for the Face of the Enemy webisodes being available on an eventual separate BD release - the separate BD release of Season 4.5 is ALREADY available - it launched the same date as the complete series. The only seasons that are still pending for individual BD release are 1, 2, 3, and 4.0. The only one of those that it would make any sense to have the Face of the Enemy webisodes on would be Season 4.0, and that is still extremely unlikely as Universal is using the same disc authorings for bundled and separate BD releases all over the world. The 4.0 discs in the US BD complete series are bit-for-bit identical to the AUS and UK BD complete series discs, and are also identical to the AUS individual season 4 discs. There is no reason to expect anything different for the eventual US season 4.0 BD release.

If I remember correctly, there is a reason the Face of the Enemy webisodes were not included in the set. There are legal issues with them. They didn't leave them off of the discs for no reason. Contracts got messed up or something with the writers strike... some BS. So currently, Universal can only legally release them on the web, not in physical media. So there is a chance they will never make it to Blu-ray or DVD unless they can get those legal issues resolved.

I am almost through my BSG blu-ray set and now I am interested in the Webisodes. Is the following information correct?

BSG: The Resistance (10 webisodes) - BSG Season 3 Disc 2

BSG: Face of the Enemy (10 webisodes) - Online Only

BSG: Razor Flashbacks (7 webisodes) - BSG Season 4.5 The Razor Disc

Where is the best place to find Face of the Enemy? Have I left out any webisodes above?

For Razor Flashbacks, just watch the extended cut of Razor that's on the disc. I think all of the flashbacks are incorporated into that.

Face of the Enemy is the tricky one. I don't think they're still on Sci-Fi's website. Maybe they are, but I doubt they're permanent. You're only really option that I know of is to torrent them. I know some people would rather not do that, but I don't think there is any legit way to see them now. Which is unfortunate since what happens in them is actually relevant to part of the plot.

Yeah, I was gonna say, all the Razor flashbacks are incorporated into the extended cut of Razor anyway. So why they even included them as a separate special feature on the disc is a bit redundant.
