You can always try the customer service links above though for possible replacements. All they can do is say no.

Why does the Dark Knight not have an expiration date next to it? Didn't it already expire?

Also, could you add an "*" to The Hangover, since it appears there are no more digital copies being distributed?

Just wanted to say thanks to the creator of and contributors to this thread. I've got all my Blu-ray Digital Copies redeemed, but looking through the list reminded me of some DVD Digital Copies that I never redeemed.

The Dark Knight did expire on 12/9/2009.

Even though JUNO is listed as expired, I was able to redeem it just now.

I just got Rock n Rolla for christmas it came with a digital copy but there was no ticket inside with the code, does anyone on here happen to have a code for this movie that they have no desire to redeem they could email me? If so please send an email to rat_born_in_1982@yahoo.com thanks. Sorry I disabled PM's on the site and haven't figured out how to re-enable it and I don't care if that email gets spammed cuz it's a junk email account anyways. Seriously if anyone has the code for this movie I would greatly appreciate it big time. I have had a hard time with Warner Bros. Digital Copies in the past but this is the first movie I bought that had the disc but no code inside.

OVN, the "*" symbol is used to signify PC digital copies only. The Hangover is still a redeemable digital copy download until the expiration listed, even if the studio stops including digital copies in their new print runs, which most do after the first run.

As Red above found out, some digital copies still work after their expiration dates. It's probably just a matter of time until iTunes removes them after the contract expires with the studio though. In other words, it's best to redeem before the expiration dates, otherwise, it's a crap shoot.

So it's basically just a way to force people into signing up for itunes accounts an not really a way to offer us free movies. It kinda pisses me off because I really like the quality of Itunes releases verses encoding them myself. I also like how they have chapters and preserve the OAR where as converting software always encodes into 1 AR or the other and always comes out really blotchy and ugly.

Blow has an expiration date of 9/23/09 and it just worked fine for me right now.

Phat, studios use digital copies as an incentive to get people to purchase BD's when they are newly released. Just like slipcovers are. They are available for a short amount of time upon release, then they stop releasing copies with them, hense the expiration dates.

Thanks for the thread bdtrader ... I'll be more diligent from now on about checking the dates on my movies.

Just wanted to relay my experiences from today. I was able to install the PC (WMV) digital copy of The Dark Knight included with my blu-ray just now, even though it had the 12-9-2009 expiration date listed. I can also confirm the same success (WMV) with Hellboy 2 that redboxcar had (expired Nov 2009). Finally, I had success with the WMV digital version of Rambo, even though it expired in May 2009.

No such luck with the digital copy of Dark City (expired in July 2009).

Also, I have the following digital copy expiration dates from two blu-rays I own that are on your list (both coming up in March):

Interesting to note that the cover art shows it as a "Digital Copy Special Edition" but a DC is not listed as one of the title's extras.

It doesn't force people to do anything, and it certainly doesn't force you to sign up for an iTunes account.

Yes it does, if you try and redeem a digital copy it requires you to have an itunes account, if you didn't already and you want that copy it does to force you to sign up.



And um, who said I was mad it was an observation geez.


What I said was I like the quality of the digital copies and that they have chapters like a DVD, for my iPod, I don't like how I had to sign up for iTunes or how they expire sometimes before you get a chance to redeem them. So far I've only had trouble with 2 movies, the first was The Dark Knight but I got that settled, the second was Rock N Rolla which didn't even come with the insert with the code but it had the second cd labeled Digital Copy. I tried to redeem it twice and no luck.


I think you misunderstood what I was saying, and if you read my previous posts you would know I like digital copies, for the most part.

Mike, thanks for the new dates for the list. Looks like the PC versions may be staying valid longer than the iTunes versions after the expiration dates.
