Does that mean this release will have forced French subtitles?
"You might very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment."

According to this (not that it is 100% accurate) only 1 of their releases is locked and all the others are free. However, they all do have forced French subs. Edit - also: if you look up BAC, you will see all the ones listed here are free

FYI I believe this has already been released in France but only as part of a Jarmusch blu-ray box set.

Hi, everyone. I've just joined, after checking this thread several times over the past months, and thought I should comment.
I got this BD from Amazon France for just over £10. I ripped it using MakeMKV (which is easy to use and free), and can confirm that it is possible to remove the forced subtitles when doing this to either play on a media player, or re-burn to Blu-ray Disc. Happy times for fans of the film. Steve W |

We have a new French version of this oddly:
Broken Flowers (February 2010) http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B002YNQ3QG Broken Flowers (January 2012) http://www.amazon.fr/dp/B005P3NRSO Anyone know anything about the 2nd version? Still forced subtitles? And I see there's also a German version mentioned here and a version in Taiwan |

I own the edition from 2010 and I found the master very disapointing: it looks like more an upscaled DVD rather than a Blu-ray... |

If I remember correctly, the old release used a 1080/50i transfer. I have not tested this new disc.
