[Show spoiler]He goes with Jammy back to Atlantic City. He will be on the show for the rest of the season. I, unfortunately, watched 10 seconds of the "rest of the season" preview and saw him getting involved with some.. gunfire.

Another great episode. Everything is falling into place.

I've missed the last 2 episodes, how is it holding up? Getting better or worse? Reviews form theAVClub and IGN shows it getting worse....?
Clementine: You're not a stalker, or anything, right?
Joel: I'm not a stalker. YOU'RE the one that talked to me, remember?
Clementine: That is the oldest trick in the stalker book.
Joel: Really? There's a stalker book? Great, I gotta read that one.

No way, it has been getting better and better each week. Tonight's episode looks to fully ignite the war! This show has not gone down hill whatsoever. IMO, this is the one show I most look forward to, it's between Boardwalk and Walking Dead each week. I have not been disappointed in a single episode.

Agreed.

IGN is the worst when it comes to television, anyways. Most critics are loving it.

Another great episode. I seriously thought Mrs. Schroeder got shot at the end of the episode. The transformation of Jimmy and Mrs. Schroeder really is something to see. The writing for the development has been great, but it's also a sign at how good the acting is - particularly Pitt, who really has been fantastic.

IGN has lost a lot of credibility in my book, especially after giving GTA 4 and MW2 such high scores, and a lot of other crap that i cant remember...damn memory's shot to hell

I was bummed as soon as the credits faded to black that all the footage we saw of the war igniting, and Harrow with the shotgun and Capone sneaking all the really good footage from last weeks preview was actually just footage of later in the season. But I still loved the episode and was so into it I actually forgot about all the shooting I'd expected to see until after the episode was over.

Yeah I love the show.

Yeah, that was a preview for the rest of the season, not the following episode.

Well they said "Next on" so I had assumed, it meant this yesterdays episode, but after that one ended than they said "With only 3 episodes left" so whatever, they tricked me!

Well, did you see the preview for episode 10? Talk about intense.

I love the look on Nucky's face when the failed assassination happens. He's worried about Mrs. Schroeder, yes, but he's not scared - he's pissed.

If it hadn't been for that crazy german Eddie being a great bodyguard and not just a manservant that would have been the end for Nucky, no doubt. I think that was the first time real violence has come at Nucky, so he has another one of those moments where Jimmy's words echoed again "You cant be half a gangster" he likes to have this holier than though attitude, where he pretends everybody is beneath him, but he's really a nobody. Without Jimmy he has NO MUSCLE at all.

Something I do wonder about, right after Jimmy and Nucky talk in the jail cell, and Jimmy asks Nucky to go see his dad, does anybody find it strange that he went straight to the Commodore? I wonder if I'm the only one who thought that rather strange. Was that to hint he is Jimmy's father, or did Nucky just go to him instead??

No, you're not the only one. A few people believe that the Commodore is Jimmy's father after last night's episode. A theory is that he had sex with a hooker (Jimmy's mom), got her pregnant and didn't want to be exposed within the media, thus sending her to Atlantic City. It's rough theory, I know.

Well the Commodore is a wealthy man, why couldn't it just be that she shacked up with him as one of her many suitors of Jimmy's youth? The arrangement he was with Nucky though could explain why Nucky kind of took over the father role for Jimmy growing up. It was a favor to his boss. That seems that likeliest in my opinion.

Had this show on TiVo until last week and started watching it. Started out slow for me but by "Broadway Limited" I was hooked Couldn't wait to watch it every night...sometimes two episodes in a row. Watched "Belle Femme" last night, but now I have no more to watch until Sunday I'm a big fan of Sopranos and of American History in general, so this is right up my alley. Great cast, Buscemi plays lead well and I really can't find fault with the rest of the cast at all, fantastic. Scorcese and HBO being involved doesn't hurt either. Only 3 episodes left which is gonna make for a long cold winter...until the Blu comes out of course Is this show historically accurate, obviously the wardrobe, set and music is, but I was wondering about facts.

Well Nucky's charater is based on someone named Enoch Johnson, but as for the amount of corruption he's involved in there isn't much fact to that, it's why his name was changed so they weren't stuck with a fixed story for Nucky. Some of supporting characters around Nucky are mashups of real characters, but for the most part are false. However the gangsters such as Rothstein, Luciano, Capone, Torrio, Colossimo, Lansky, they are all real characters so they cannot really bend their stories much. Everything they've been involved with is pretty much based on facts, at least the way I remember based on all the historical gangster books I've read. I love when a new character pops up and it's someone I know goes on to be a huge gangster down the road but is a nobody now, which is the case with Meyer Lansky who tried to buy out Chalky a few episodes ago when Chalky thought Nucky was setting him up. Lansky is the most famous Jewish mobster of all time, Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel and Meyer came up together so that connection might happen soon to. Obviously Harding, and Nan Britton are real as well. So basically this show is fairly accurate but I don't wanna go into much detail as it could reveal some huge spoilers down the road of the series.

To me it kind of looked like he was pissed at his servant for saving his life.. sort of because that woman was killed instead. the look he gave him was like "why save me?".. ? anyone else?

Yup, I immediately recognized the famous names like Capone and Luciano. It's interesting to see how they started out and others they were involved with in their rise to power. Great development of the characters, how they change from episode to episode, like Van Alden's religious fanaticism, Margaret's power over others (including Nucky), Jimmy's value to people because of his charm, intellect, and ruthlessness, etc. Can't wait to add Season 1 to my library...

My only problem with using so many real life characters is that the moment Jimmy turned his gun on Lucky and said he was going to kill him, I immediately started wondering what Lucky would do to get out of this, because I was positive he wouldn't be dying, it just became a matter of what would be his way out of this situation. I know how pretty much every gangster met their end, so that's a real downside for me, there's no mystery in wondering if they might be killed on the show.
