Hey, all, looking for some advice.
I recently got a letter from Panasonic asking if I would want to extend my warranty coverage with them. They want $250 for one year and $380 for three year. My wife left it up to me to choose. She also added, "How long do you plan on keeping the TV." I will only upgrade to a larger screen. Probably 65", but I really don't know when I would do that. Probably after 3 years or so. (Hopefully plasma or an equally as great product will be around then). I'm thinking the 3 year coverage. Thoughts? Or should I not even bother with the extended coverage?? Panasonic TC-P65VT30

I would get the three year coverage. It is always nice to have in case something ever does go wrong. I doubt that it would because Panasonic plasmas are the best for durability IMO but it is still nice to have.

My last consumers report stated that most problems occur in the 1st year. Only 2 percent of Pannys have a problem during the next 3 years. They said its not good sense to buy a warrenty. One of the reasons that I bought the V10. Hope that helps with your decision. Good Luck

3 years in june, and never have a problem, so i think with that money you can save it and buy something better in 3 years with another $700 on top. Extended warrantys form the manufactor are too expensive, PC give you 3 years for only $150. Next time you buy a tv check with them.
