Andy heads off to cowboy camp leaving his toys to their own devices. Things shift into high gear when an obsessive toy collector named Al McWhiggin (owner of Al's Toy Barn) kidnaps Woody. At Al's apartment, Woody discovers that he is a highly valued collectible from a 1950's TV show called "Woody's Roundup", and he meets the other prized toys from that show - Jessie the Cowgirl, Bullseye the Horse, and Stinky Pete the Prospector. Back at the scene of the crime, Buzz Lightyear and the other toys from Andy's room - Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, Rex, and Hamm - spring into action to rescue their pal from winding up as a museum piece. The toys get into one predicament after another in their daring race to get Woody before Andy returns.

cant wait, i bought these on dvd a long time ago and missed out on selling them before they were rereleased. hopefully disney does coupons for these and hopefully best buy /futureshop continue with the steelbooks.

I'm thinking if I should hold off though until Toy Story 3 is released later the same year.... might be a cool collector's set with all three of them in there...

I will be picking both of these up on day 1.(i am sure there will be some type of disney coupons with them) I love pixar flicks and animation in general(i should i majored in computer animation) Toy story and toy story 2 are teo of my favorite pixar movies my least favorite is cars.

Please try to keep this announcement quiet. I currently have my Toy Story 1 & 2 dvds for sale on ebay and I don't want everyone to know that in 3 months they can get the BD & DVD combo pack for about the same price as the dvds are selling for. Also it looks like there are a lot of DVD copies flooding ebay right about now.

So, you guys realize that Pixar is releasing as much content as possible right now to beat the in0home-3D technology release. So, we're going to buy all of these Disney titles in 2D and then DOUBLE-DIP when we get 3D displays, etc. Pixar has already shown Toy Story 1 & 2 in stereographic 3D in the theaters. It's inevitable. There will be a 3D Blu-Ray of these titles.

I'm not buying these Blu-Rays until a true 3D version is made available using the Blu-Ray 3D spec.

I just realised that I haven't seen Toy Story from start to finish even once since seeing it in theatres all those years ago. Decided to watch a couple of clips on YouTube and man, the CG is so primitive. We've really been spoiled with the latest Pixar movies.

I might get it at $15 from Amazon but don't think I'd be willing to spend much more. I'm more excited about Disney's upcoming 2D classics than Pixar right now (unless they announce The Incredibles or Finding Nemo.)
