A lot of the fall movies have been announced for Blu-Ray, has anyone heard anything about Blu-Ray. I'm almost certain that there will be a preview for Eclipse on there due to the fact that it releases with this summer.

According to Summit Entertainment's Twitter page, the studio has officially set March 20 as the release date for 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon'. The second movie in this vampire franchise was panned by critics but was a huge box office hit, grossing nearly $100 million more than 'Twilight'. This will be a two-disc special edition.

At the moment there is no information about possible exclusivity deals with retailers, as there were with the first movie (see blu-ray.com, January 22, 2009).

Audio Commentary by director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert
Six-Part Documentary takes you behind the scenes of the film
Rehearsal Footage with Muse, who is featured on the hit soundtrack
Three Music Videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina and Mute Math

So far it's March 24th or sometime in March.

are you asking when this movie comes out on blu? or if it will have a preview of the next film? seeing that the film is still in theaters, i'd guess it'll land on blu right in time for summer. not that i care personally

I've always wondered why some movies take longer than others to come out. The Saw movies seem to come out like 2 months after the theatrical release where some near 6 or 7.

Yeah, like Inglourious Basterds, that was in theaters in August and here it is on BD in December lol

If the movie has a long run in the theatres, meaning making a lot of money week after week, the home entertainment release will be longer away (unless if they rush it for the holiday season). Seeing as how TWILIGHT came out in March of this year, same thing will probably apply to NEW MOON. They may push it a little later to keep it closer to the release of Eclipse, however, they probably don't want to take away any press from ECLIPSE, so it will be at least in a month prior to June.

I'd say March and if not, April is the safest bet after that, but about 90% going with March.

New Moon has been following Twilight's schedule pretty closely for just about everything so far (theatrical release, soundtracks, special editions of books, movie editions of books etc...) so I would say March is a VERY safe bet. Really looking forward to this on Blu ! Hope they don't release the DVD 2 months before the wide release of the Blu again like they did Twilight, but another 2-Disc Target exclusive would be nice !
