It looks like it will be decent, the only super hero to impress me recently was batman begins, but with Mr. Downey in there I'm sure it should be good.

It looks pretty sweet to me. I've enjoyed most of the comic adaptations thus far, though that's not to say they were great movies. I did actually like Hulk, but I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few.

But Jon Favreau is a good writer and director, and Downy Jr. is a fantastic actor. I think this one could be pretty good. Better than thhe majority of the Marvel films anyway.

Highly agree, but the way comic adaptations go I dont think anything will ever dissapoint me more than Spawn did, I was a HUGE fan of the comics way back in the day..........the movie destroyed my childhood.

I've been a huge Iron Man fan for years, and most of what I've seen on this movie is disappointing, beginning with the poor casting of RDJr as Tony Stark. I'm sorry, but there's NO WAY he can pull this off.

Given the track record Marvel has lately of churning out piece of crap after piece of crap, Iron Man will be no different. The last "good" Marvel movie was X-Men 2. Everything since (Fantastic Four 1 & 2, Ghost Rider, Hulk, Blade 3, etc.) has been absolutely AWFUL.

I get your point though. I can live with poor casting if the script is good and the direction is true to the spirit of the original source.

Yes characters from Marvel and DC usually mirror each other. That's why Ironman (Marvel) reminds you of a character name Batman (DC)

They claim that RDJr's drug and alcohol addiction helps him "understand" Tony Stark (everyone of course knows that Tony Stark is an alcoholic). I'm going to wait to see how this turns out. I was scared about Transformers and ended up pleasantly surprised so I hope this will be another one that surpasses my hopeful expectations. At least the CGI has finally come far enough to let them try to pull this off. I, for one, remain optimistic.

Big IM fan myself....perfect casting for this...kinda agree w/the Marvel movies - X2 was the last all-around thoroughly good one, tho I would say X3 & Blade 3 (hell, even the Punisher) had their moments.......

That looks cool, but I am still skeptical. Could be cool, could suck. I never really got into Iron Man but i am a fan of robots and super heroes. (Take a look at my icon... Captain Greedle the cybernetic hero with robotic limbs. A character I made on City of Heroes.)
