Just finished up with a really tasty dinner. Had an Ahi Tuna steak with some veggies. Now it's time to kick back and watch Thor.

I really enjoyed Thor. It had a blend of elements that just made it work. And the 7.1 DTS-HD MA was awesome! It was a very entertaining and fun movie. I got the 3D combo before I read all the negative reviews on the 3D version. Oh well, I guess I'll find out just how bad it is once I get that 3D TV.

Also picked up The Count of Monte Cristo on Blu-ray. It has been about nine years since I last saw the movie. I hope they did a good job on the transfer.

Happy Wednesday Seth,

One more night away from home and I am thinking about taking the rest of the week off. It will depend on how busy we are on Friday. How has your work week been?

Hi Bill,

Happy Hump Day to you as well. Yeah Thor was great! It's one of those movies that you can re-visit again and again.

Yeah it was a very healthy but tasty dinner.

So how's your day going?

Hi Al,

Happy Hump Day!

Amigo, you truly deserve a week off. How's your cold doing btw? I hope you're feeling a lot better.

This week for me has been good so far, so I can't complain. The weather here has been really gloomy the past 3 days, as we've been getting a bit of rain. But in a way it's a good thing as our area has been so dry the past few years that were really need the moisture.

I'm looking forward to Friday so I can pick up the Star Wars Anthology. Probably won't get a chance to see all the movies over the weekend, but will at least watch 3 of them.

Are you planning on buying the Star Wars Saga?

Buenas tardes, your Zephness.

Happy hump day, amigo. How is your day going?

I can't wait for you to get SW. I'm looking forward to your full review. I must wait for a few weeks for mine to arrive. Oh well, I think I'll be happier in the long run with the UK packaging.

Good to hear you enjoyed your journey to Asgard. I enjoyed it myself.

Hi Jeff,

Well it's Friday!!! And you know what that means! Star Wars time!!!! I will be watching Episode I: The Phantom Menace tonight. I expect nothing less that pure awesomeness! The 6.1 DTS-HD MA is going to be phenomenal! Here's hoping that you get your UK box set sooner rather than later.

Yeah I thoroughly enjoyed Thor, it was fun.

Picked up The Star Wars Saga and watched Episode 1 The Phantom Menace. I'm happy to report that it was everything I was hoping it would be. While the review here on Blu-ray.com says that the PQ was a bit too soft, I have to say that I think it looked amazing! It is the clearest, sharpest, and most detailed picture I have seen of Episode 1. And the colors really pop!

And as for the sound, it was perfect! Not overcooked at all. The LFE was just right, deep and very powerful but not over done. And the directional effects were super active! And the use of the sixth rear center channel really complimented the rest of the channels. All the sound pans were seamless, moving from left to right, rear to front, and front to rear.

Episode 1 is total eye and ear candy. Now I can't wait to watch Attack of the Clones!

Hey there Mr. Maxell Man
[Show spoiler]
! I guarantee you're gonna be getting that effect with The Phantom Menace. I just finished watching Attack of the Clones, and sound wise I'd say it's a very close second place to Menace. Directionals were great, and the LFE was pretty potent, but it didn't have quite as many of the 6th channel effects as Menace did. But when they are active the effect is pretty amazing.

PQ is really good as well, but I did notice that it was a tad softer looking than Menace. But as was mentioned in the review on this site, it was purposely softened a bit for the theatrical release as they thought it was too sharp since it was all shot digitally. But since the whole movie looks that way, you get adjusted to that after a while. But overall I was very pleased with the PQ.

Later today it's Revenge of the Sith, and possibly A New Hope.

Hey croseiv,

Yes, the Star Wars films on Blu-ray are awesome! And the audio quality is phenomenal! Tonight it's Revenge of the Sith. But I won't be able to see the rest until Thursday evening, as I will be out of town until then.

Yeah I'll gone for about 4 days. So you guys might not see me around until Thursday evening or Friday morning.

Mine is a really short trip compared to yours Al. You were gone for like half of the month. I'm going to be in Santa Fe. If I can I'll take some pics.
