"Big Fan" 8/10

Patton Oswalt can act. It was darker than I anticipated but very interesting. About a loser who works in a parking garage and lives in a room in his mom's house.

His only passion is Giants football. He routinely calls in to a local sports radio show and talks trash to an Eagles fan(as his mom yells at him to keep it down through the wall), he writes down what he will say ahead of time. Then he gets his ass kicked by his favorite player and the movie is about how it affects his life.

The Hurt Locker
9/10

Amazing film! Its true what all the critics are saying about the movie. It took me the night to really mull it over to realize what an important film this is.

I would instantly add this to my collect if not for the steep price of $24.

I watched this last night as well and enjoyed it more than expected, great ending too. I went into the movie knowing very little about it and was expecting more of a comedy, but this was a nice surprise.

8/10 from me as well, I wont comment on quality as I watched it on dvd.

Moon -

9.5/10

This film had a great story, the acting was superb and the visual effects were outstanding. I will definitely be watching it again soon, as well as picking this up on blu once the price drops a bit.

Could be one of the worst movies I have seen. The acting by that teenage kid was so awful.

Black Hawk Down.

Believe it or not, it was my first time seeing the film. I'm glad I waited for it on blu, as the PQ and AQ are both the epitome of reference quality. Absolutely incredible.

The film has the second best military battle scenes, behind only Band of Brothers. The intensity of the scenes is spellbinding and harrowing. An incredible story of a major military failure.

Film--3 1/2 stars (out of 4)

PQ--5 stars (out of 5)

AQ--5 stars (out of 5)

It was good, but I could only watch it once. Just knowing that it really happened and was such a monumental waste of men in our military bums me out.

I know exactly what you mean Grand Bob. It is an emotionally draining film because of its intensity, realism, and truth. It is also a very sad film. I def plan on buying it but I will find it difficult to want to sit down and watch it multiple times.

Hurt Locker:

6/10

Once being in the military, it was OK... nothing special. The acting was alright, but the plot was razor thin.

It was a series of scenes that had little or nothing to do with one another, the only connection was the characters, there was no main antagonist, it was just the main character defusing bombs in different ways.

It was mildly intense, but it just didn't do anything for me with regards to a coherent plot. If it had had a plot I would think that it should win best picture, but it didn't.

We watched the BD of "Gamer" last night.

Oh, I guess I'd give it a 6 for effort.

PQ and AQ were great.
