The dutch release is only $14.33, plus posting there.
Guess it's the cheapest version around.
Spanish from Spain around $18, plus posting
Polish edition it's around $20, plus posting

Default Running Time - 142 vs. 147 Minutes

I've noticed that a good number of the European Perfume Blu-ray releases have a running time of 142 minutes. Was this movie edited in Europe for content? Five minutes is a substantial amount of time. Would appreciate it if someone can shed some light.

My copy, (The Dutch one) is 142, but it may in actuality be slightly sped up.

The dutch copy, is rather nice with a good open-matte transfer. Plus it has DTS-HD MA audio, compared to the region-free lossy German release.

I got it from this seller, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Perfume-Stor...6705485&sr=8-2.

I know there is also a steelbook of the dutch edition, but it is rather expensive.

Thanks Alex for this informative reply! I was concerned because I've seen many online shops - and sellers on eBay - listing the Blu-ray at 142 minutes....including the Dutch version. I was surprised because - with the exception of the UK - European releases are rarely censored.

so you're saying you prefer watching your movies in an aspect ratio different than the one intended by the director?
strange; I'll stick with OAR 2.35: 1 thank you.
imo the German release of this film is clearly the best.

Btw, I'm sorry but I just checked and my copy is indeed 142 min. I mis-read my blu ray player and now I'm worried that it is either sped up or censored. It's weird because I have seen the film many times in both theaters, dvd, and now the dutch version and nothing seems to be missing.

Again, I'm sorry for my error. Might want to just stick with the German release.
